- This is a list of the bird species recorded in Gibraltar. The avifauna of Gibraltar include a total of 329 species, of which 2 have been introduced by humans. The majority of the introduced species are wanderers from introduced populations in Spain. This list's taxonomic treatment (designation and sequence of orders, families and species) and nomenclature (common and scientific names) follow the conventions of The Clements Checklist of Birds of the World, 2022 edition with a few changes to match the list of the Gibraltar Ornithological & Natural History Society. The family accounts at the beginning of each heading reflect the Clements' taxonomy, as do the species counts found in each family account. Introduced and accidental species are included in the total counts for Gibraltar. The following tags have been used to highlight categories. The commonly occurring native species do not fall into any of these categories.
* (A) Accidental – a species that rarely or accidentally occurs in Gibraltar
* (I) Introduced – a species which occurs in Gibraltar as a consequence, direct or indirect, of human actions
* (Ext) Extirpated – a species which no longer occurs in Gibraltar, but other populations still exist elsewhere (en)
