- Les Pays-Bas ont soumis des films pour l'Oscar du meilleur film en langue étrangère dès la 32e édition, la 2e dans cette catégorie, en 1959. Ils ont ainsi proposé 46 films pour concourir dans cette catégorie. Parmi eux, deux ont été disqualifiés, neuf ont obtenu des nominations aux Oscars et trois films ont remporté le prix. (fr)
- The Netherlands has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 1959. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. The award was created for the 1956 Academy Awards, succeeding the non-competitive Honorary Academy Awards which were presented between 1947 and 1955 to the best foreign language films released in the United States. As of 2021, seven Dutch films have been nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, three of which have won the award: The Assault in 1987, Antonia's Line in 1996 and Character in 1998. Two Dutch submissions were disqualified: The Vanishing in 1989 because more than half of the film was spoken in French and Bluebird in 2006 because it had aired on television. Fons Rademakers represented the Netherlands in the competition five times, achieving two Oscar nominations, including one win. (en)
- Belanda telah mengirimkan sejumlah film untuk Penghargaan Akademi untuk Film Berbahasa Asing Terbaik sejak 1959. - A partire dal 1960, alcuni film olandesi sono stati candidati al Premio Oscar nella categoria miglior film straniero. I Paesi Bassi hanno vinto in totale 3 statuette e hanno ricevuto altre 4 nomination. Due volte i film proposti sono stati squalificati: nel 1989 Il mistero della donna scomparsa perché il film, contrariamente a quanto indicato in sede di candidatura, era girato principalmente in francese; nel 2006 perché il film era stato realizzato per la televisione: per l'Academy non fu sufficiente il rimontaggio realizzato appositamente per le sale cinematografiche per riammettere il film. - Dit is een lijst van Nederlandse inzendingen voor de Oscar voor beste internationale film, tot 2019 bekend als de Oscar voor beste niet-Engelstalige film. Nederland is in totaal zeven keer genomineerd geweest, heeft drie keer de shortlist gehaald en won de prijs ook drie keer (De aanslag, Antonia en Karakter). Twee films zijn afgewezen door het Oscar-comité, dit waren Spoorloos omdat de film te veel Franse dialogen bevatte en Bluebird omdat hij eerder dat jaar op televisie werd vertoond. Titels met een gele achtergrond belandden op de shortlist, die met een blauwe achtergrond werden uiteindelijk genomineerd voor een Oscar en die met een rode achtergrond wonnen de prijs. (nl)
