- El Torneig de les Sis Nacions 2017 de rugbi, o també denominat 2017 RBS 6 Nations a causa del patrocini del Royal Bank of Scotland, és la 18a edició d'aquest torneig en el format de Sis Nacions i la 123a si tenen en compte els altres formats d'aquesta competició. El torneig començà el 4 de febrer i acabarà el 18 de març de 2017. Anglaterra, tornaria a ser la campiona del torneig, el segon de l'era Eddie Jones. Per primera vegada a la història, l'edició del 2017 farà servir els "Bonus Points", un sistema de puntuació comú en altres torneigs professionals de la Rugby Union. Igualment es repartiran els 4 punts per partit guanyat o els 2 punts per partit empatat però, un equip que anoti 4 o més assajos durant el partit rebrà un punt addicional a la taula classificatòria, també rebrà un punt addicional l'equip que perdi per 7 o menys punts. A més, si un equip guanya tots els partits del torneig (Grand Slam) i per evitar un possible empat, rebrà 3 punts per assegurar-se el primer lloc a la classificació general. (ca)

- The 2017 Six Nations Championship was the 18th series of the Six Nations Championship, the annual northern hemisphere rugby union championship. The tournament was also known as the RBS 6 Nations because of the tournament's sponsorship by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. It was contested by defending champions England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. Including the competition's previous iterations as the Home Nations Championship and Five Nations Championship, it was the 123rd edition of the tournament. For the first time the 2017 tournament used the bonus point system common to most other professional rugby union tournaments. As well as the standard four points for a win and two for a draw, a team scoring four tries in a match received an additional league table point, as did a team losing by seven or fewer points. Additionally, to ensure that a team winning all of its five matches (a Grand Slam) would also win the Championship, three bonus points were to be awarded for this achievement. For the second successive year, the championship was won by England with a round to spare.However, they were denied the Grand Slam and Triple Crown in the final game by a defeat to Ireland in the final round, the fifth time this has happened to England in the Six Nations era (2000, 2001, 2011, 2013 and 2017) and the third time at the hands of the Irish (the other two being 2001 and 2011). - Il Sei Nazioni 2017 (in inglese 2017 Six Nations Championship; in francese Tournoi des Six Nations 2017; in gallese Pencampwriaeth y Chwe Gwlad 2017) fu la 18ª edizione del torneo annuale di rugby a 15 tra le squadre nazionali di Francia, Galles, Inghilterra, Irlanda, Italia e Scozia, nonché la 123ª in assoluto considerando anche le edizioni dell'Home Nations Championship e del Cinque Nazioni. Noto per motivi di sponsorizzazione come 2017 RBS Six Nations Championship a seguito di accordo di partnership commerciale con la Royal Bank of Scotland, si tenne dal 4 febbraio al 18 marzo 2017.Fu anche l'ultima di 15 edizioni consecutive con tale sponsor, perché RBS annunciò che non avrebbe rinnovato il contratto di naming in scadenza al termine della stagione sportiva. Si trattò della prima edizione in cui fu adottato il sistema di punteggio dell'Emisfero Sud, analogo a quella utilizzata nel Rugby Championship, per cui furono assegnati 4 punti per la vittoria, 2 per il pareggio, 0 per la sconfitta più un punto supplementare alla squadra che marchi 4 mete o più in un incontro e un ulteriore punto alla squadra che, pur sconfitta, perda con sette punti o meno di scarto; alla squadra che vinca tutte le partite (Grande Slam) il regolamento assegna tre punti extra e la vittoria matematica del torneo. La vittoria finale andò all'Inghilterra campione uscente, che con tale affermazione, la sua trentottesima, si portò in testa al palmarès della competizione davanti al Galles fermo a trentasette. Il valore delle marcature, come stabilito dall’IRFB nel 1992, era: 5 punti per ciascuna meta (7 se trasformata), 3 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun calcio piazzato, idem per il drop.Al termine della stagione sportiva World Rugby (nome nel frattempo assunto dal 2014 dall'IRFB) deliberò l'automatica concessione di 7 punti alla meta tecnica senza più necessità di ricorrere al calcio di trasformazione. Turniej odbył się pomiędzy 4 lutego a 18 marca 2017 roku. Wliczając turnieje w poprzedniej formie, od czasów Home Nations Championship i Pucharu Pięciu Narodów, była to 123. edycja tych zawodów. W turnieju brały udział reprezentacje narodowe Anglii, Francji, Irlandii, Szkocji, Walii i Włoch. Podobnie jak cztery lata wcześniej zespół walijski prowadzony był przez w zastępstwie przygotowującego się do tournée British and Irish Lions , a tym turniejem kadencję selekcjonera szkockiej kadry zakończył . Rozkład gier opublikowano na początku lutego 2015 roku, po raz kolejny planując rozegranie jednego spotkania w piątek. Sędziowie spotkań zostali wyznaczeni 9 grudnia 2016 roku. Po raz pierwszy w historii wprowadzono testowo bonusowy system punktacji. Zwycięzca meczu zyskiwał cztery punkty, za remis przysługiwały dwa punkty, porażka nie była punktowana, a zdobycie przynajmniej czterech przyłożeń lub przegrana nie więcej niż siedmioma punktami premiowana była natomiast punktem bonusowym. Dodatkowo zdobywca Wielkiego Szlema otrzymałby trzy dodatkowe punkty, by uniknąć sytuacji, że nie wygrałby całych zawodów pomimo pokonania wszystkich rywali. Tytuł już po czterech kolejkach zapewnili sobie Anglicy, w ostatnim meczu ulegli jednak Irlandczykom i nie zdobyli tym samym drugiego z rzędu Wielkiego Szlema. Najwięcej punktów w turnieju zdobył , ośmiu zawodników zdobyło zaś po trzy przyłożenia. Z grona dwunastu zawodników wytypowanych przez organizatorów za najlepszego został drugi rok z rzędu uznany reprezentant Szkocji, Stuart Hogg. Podczas zawodów pięćdziesiąte występy w narodowej reprezentacji zaliczyli Stuart Hogg, Owen Farrell, , , , i . Była to ostatnia edycja sponsorowana przez Royal Bank of Scotland. (pl)
