Todmorden (/ˈtɒdmərdən/ TOD-mər-dən; locally /ˈtɒdmɔːrdən, ˈtɒdmərdən, ˈtɔːmdɪn/) is a market town and civil parish in the Upper Calder Valley in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, England. It is 17 miles (27 kilometres) north-east of Manchester, 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Burnley and 9 miles (14 km) west of Halifax. In 2011 it had a population of 15,481. Todmorden is at the confluence of three steep-sided Pennine valleys and is surrounded by moorlands with outcrops of sandblasted gritstone. The town is served by Todmorden and Walsden railway stations.

Der Fluss teilt sie auf die beiden traditionellen Grafschaften Englands Lancashire und Yorkshire auf. Ab 1888 wurde die Stadt jedoch aus praktischen Gründen durch das West Riding of Yorkshire verwaltet, und von 1974 bis 1986 wurde Todmorden durch West Yorkshire County Council verwaltet. Seit dessen Abschaffung ist die oberste Gebietskörperschaft das Metropolitan Borough Calderdale. Da der Hauptteil Todmordens auf der nördlichen bzw. westlichen Seite des Calders liegt und auch in Postanschriften der Zusatz „Lancashire“ verwendet wurde, fühlen sich die Bürger der Stadt eher dieser Grafschaft angehörig.
