- Mistrovství světa v klasickém lyžování 2009 byla jedna z největších sportovních akcí v historii České republiky[zdroj?!] , která proběhla od 18. února do 1. března 2009 ve sportovních areálech v českém městě Liberci. Pořadatelem mistrovství bylo občanské sdružení OC FIS NORDIC WSC 2009 a náklady na pořádání přesáhly 2 mld. Kč. Sdružení skončilo v lednu 2012 v úpadku s dluhy ve výši 399 milionů Kč a majetkem v řádu tisíců. (cs)
- Die 47. Nordischen Skiweltmeisterschaften fand vom 18. Februar bis 1. März 2009 in der tschechischen Stadt Liberec statt. Dies wurde am 3. Juni 2004 während des FIS-Kongresses in Miami (USA) entschieden. Liberec setzte sich in einer Kampfabstimmung mit 11:4 Stimmen gegen die norwegische Hauptstadt Oslo durch. Damit wurde zum zweiten Mal eine tschechische Stadt Austragungsort der Nordischen Skiweltmeisterschaften. Bei den Nordischen Skiweltmeisterschaften 1925 wurden die Wettbewerbe in Janské Lázně veranstaltet. Bei den Weltmeisterschaften 2009 wurden erstmals Damenwettbewerbe im Skispringen und ein Massenstart-Wettbewerb der Kombinierer abgehalten. (de)
- La Monda ĉampionado pri nordia skiado de FIS 2009 estis sporta evento pri nordia skiado, kiu okazis inter la 18-a de februaro kaj la 1-a de marto 2009 en Liberec en Ĉeĥio. Temis pri la kvara fojo kiam la ĉampionado okazis en aŭ Ĉeĥio aŭ Ĉeĥoslovakio. Dum la antaŭaj fojoj ĝin gastigis kaj Vysoké Tatry (en kaj ). La urbon oni elektis per la majoritato de 11 kontraŭ 4 en konkurenco de Oslo (Norvegio) dum la kongreso de FIS en Miami (Usono) la 3-an de junio 2004. La konkursoj okazis en la ĉirkaŭaĵo de Liberec, interalie en skicentro ĉe la monto Ještěd. La vizitantoj kaj la sportistoj loĝis en multaj hoteloj en Liberec kaj ĉirkaŭaĵo, inkluzive de la studenthejmo Harcov kiu sekve en julio de 2009 estis la kongresejo de la 65-a IJK en Liberec'. (eo)
- The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 (Czech: Mistrovství světa v klasickém lyžování Liberec 2009) took place 18 February – 1 March 2009 in Liberec, Czech Republic. This was the fourth time these championships were hosted either in the Czech Republic or in Czechoslovakia, having done so at Janské Lázně (1925) and Vysoké Tatry (in both 1935 and 1970). The biggest sports event in the country's history, it hosted 589 athletes from 61 countries. Women's ski jumping and Men's Nordic combined 10 km mass start events debuted at these championships, both won by Americans Lindsey Van and Todd Lodwick, respectively. Norway won the most medals with twelve and most golds with five, all in the men's cross-country skiing events, including three from Petter Northug. Germany finished second in the total medal count with nine though none of them were gold (eight silver and one bronze). Finland finished third in the medal count with eight with three golds, all from Aino-Kaisa Saarinen in women's cross-country skiing. Fourth in total medal count, but second in gold medal count was the United States with six, including four golds, who prior to these championships, had won only three medals in all of the previous championships combined, including four medals in Nordic combined (Lodwick: two golds, Bill Demong: one gold and one bronze). Kikkan Randall became the first American woman to medal in cross country skiing at the world championships with her silver in the individual sprint. Besides the debut of women's ski jumping at these championships, the big winner in the jumping events was Austria with three medals and two each for Wolfgang Loitzl and Gregor Schlierenzauer. Adding the 10 km mass start, the Nordic combined format was changed from 7.5 km sprint and 15 km individual Gundersen to 10 km individual large hill (aka Large hill Gundersen) and 10 km individual normal hill (aka Normal hill Gundersen), respectively. Estonia's Andrus Veerpalu became the oldest gold medalist at 38 when he won gold in the men's 15 km event. Despite concern over the lack of snowfall that plagued event preparation prior to the championships, the championships themselves had an abundance of snowfall and wind that caused the ski jumping part of the Nordic combined mass start to be postponed for a day and the ski jumping individual large hill competition to be limited to one jump. Attendance was between 180,000 and 200,000, twice the number at the previous championships in Sapporo, but 35 to 40 percent lower than the 2005 championships in Oberstdorf. FIS President Gian Franco Kasper commented at the closing ceremonies of the 15 nations earning medals at these championships, along with the successes of the television coverage by Czech TV and the success of the women's ski jumping at these championships would pave the way for inclusion into the 2014 Winter Olympics. A broadcast report from the European Broadcasting Union released on 4 June 2009 had total viewership of 666 million global viewers, higher than that of the 2005 championships and the 2001 championships. - La 48e édition des Championnats du monde de ski nordique (tchèque : Mistrovství světa v klasickém lyžování Liberec 2009 ; titre officiel en anglais : FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009) a lieu du 18 février au 1er mars 2009 à Liberec en République tchèque. La Fédération internationale de ski organise cet événement bisannuel du ski nordique lors duquel sont décernés les titres mondiaux de trois disciplines sportives : le combiné nordique, le saut à ski et le ski de fond. Le pays accueille pour la quatrième fois cette compétition puisque les villes de Janské Lázně (1925) et de Vysoké Tatry (1935 et 1970) avait déjà organisé l'événement à l'époque de la Tchécoslovaquie. Pays hôte de 589 sportifs représentant 61 délégations nationales, la République tchèque organise le plus grand rendez-vous sportif de son histoire. Deux nouvelles épreuves, le saut à ski féminin et le départ en ligne de combiné nordique, apparaissent au programme de ces championnats, remportés respectivement par les Américains Lindsey Van et Todd Lodwick. La Norvège termine au premier rang des médailles avec 5 titres, tous acquis dans les épreuves de ski de fond masculin, incluant les trois titres de Petter Northug. L'Allemagne est seconde au nombre de médailles avec neuf médailles mais aucun titre. En ce qui concerne les médailles d'or, la Norvège devance les États-Unis (quatre titres), la Finlande (trois titres), l'Autriche et la Pologne (deux titres). Au côté du premier titre féminin de saut à ski, le grand vainqueur de ces épreuves côté masculin est l'Autriche avec trois médailles dont deux pour Wolfgang Loitzl et Gregor Schlierenzauer. En ajoutant le départ en ligne 10 km, le combiné nordique a changé de format de ses épreuves avec à la place du 7,5 km sprint et du 15 km individuel Gundersen les épreuves de 10 km individuel grand tremplin et du 10 km individuel petit tremplin. L'Estonien Andrus Veerpalu devient le plus vieux médaillé d'or à 38 ans quand il remporte le 15 km en ski de fond. Malgré le manque d'enneigement avant le début des épreuves, les Championnats ont reçu une abondance de neige et de vent, ce qui eut des conséquences pour certaines épreuves. L'affluence totale de l'évènement est comprise entre 180 000 et 200 000 spectateurs, deux fois supérieure aux précédents Championnats du monde 2007 de Sapporo (Japon), mais 35 % de moins par rapport aux Championnats du monde 2005 à Oberstdorf (Allemagne). Le Président de la FIS Gian-Franco Kasper s'est exprimé lors de la cérémonie de clôture, mettant en avant le nombre de nations médaillées (quinze au total), la bonne couverture médiatique par la télévision tchèque (l'audience télévisuelle cumulée atteint 666 millions de téléspectateurs) et le succès de l'épreuve féminine de saut à ski en prévision d'une intégration au programme olympique de 2014. - De wereldkampioenschappen noords skiën 2009 werden van 18 februari tot en met 1 maart 2009 georganiseerd in de Tsjechische stad Liberec. Voor het eerst werd bij de wereldkampioenschappen schansspringen een wedstrijd voor vrouwen gehouden. Ook bij de wereldkampioenschappen noordse combinatie waren er wijzigingen doorgevoerd: er werden geen drie, maar vier disciplines worden gehouden.De sprintwedstrijd verdween, net als in de wereldbeker, van de kalender. De massastart werd voor het eerst worden georganiseerd en er werden twee individuele Gundersen wedstrijden gehouden (1 keer op de kleine schans, 1 keer op de grote). De landenwedstrijd bleef op het programma. Bij de wereldkampioenschappen langlaufen moesten de mannen en vrouwen zich voor het eerst via een kwalificatie plaatsen voor wedstrijd met intervalstart.Voor de vrouwen ging het om een wedstrijd over 5 kilometer klassieke stijl, voor de wedstrijd over 10 kilometer. Bij de mannen is het een kwalificatiewedstrijd van 10 kilometer voor de wedstrijd over 15 kilometer klassieke stijl. (nl)
- Mistrzostwa Świata w Narciarstwie Klasycznym 2009 – zawody sportowe, które odbyły się w dniach od 18 lutego do 1 marca 2009 w Libercu w Czechach. Były to czwarte w historii mistrzostwa rozegrane w Czechach lub w Czechosłowacji. Wcześniej imprezę tej rangi gościły Janské Lázně (1925) oraz dwukrotnie w Wysokie Tatry (1935 i 1970). Liberec został wybrany na gospodarza zawodów w głosowaniu, w którym wygrał z Oslo (Norwegia), 11-4, na kongresie FIS-u, który odbył się 3 czerwca 2004 w Miami w USA. - I Campionati mondiali di sci nordico 2009, quarantasettesima edizione della manifestazione, si svolsero dal 19 febbraio al 1º marzo a Liberec, in Repubblica Ceca. Vennero assegnati venti titoli. Rispetto all'edizione precedente furono introdotte numerose variazioni nel programma. Nella combinata nordica fu soppressa la gara sprint dal trampolino lungo e fu modificata la distanza della frazione di fondo dall'individuale Gundersen dal trampolino normale, portata da 15 km a 10 km; furono inoltre introdotte due nuova gare, entrambe individuali: la partenza in linea di 10 km con salto dal trampolino normale e la Gundersen di 10 km con salto dal trampolino lungo. Nel salto con gli sci debuttò una gara femminile: l'individuale dal trampolino normale. Nello sci di fondo variò la ripartizie delle gare tra tecnica classica e tecnica libera: la 50 km e la gara sprint degli uomini e la 30 km e la gara sprint delle donne furono in tecnica libera anziché classica, mentre la 15 km e la sprint a squadre degli uomini e la 10 km e la sprint a squadre delle donne furono in classica anziché libera. Det internationella skidsportförbundet FIS tog beslutet på ett möte i Miami i delstaten Florida i USA den 3 juni 2004, då Oslo i Norge fick ge sig med röstsiffrorna 4–11. Tävlingsprogrammet antogs av FIS på ett möte i Portorož i Slovenien 25–28 maj 2007. Organisationskommittén leddes av . Den tjeckiska längdskidåkerskan Kateřina Neumannová, sexfaldig olympisk medaljör, var hedersvicepresident för organisationskommittén. 2009 var året då backhoppning för damer debuterade i världsmästerskapssammanhang. Tyskland måste ha slagit någon sorts rekord i detta VM. Av de 9 medaljer de tog blev det ett brons och inte mindre än 8 silver, dvs 89%. (sv)
