The crab fishing vessel flooded and sank in the Gulf of Alaska south of Tugidak Island in the Kodiak Archipelago, probably due to an improperly dogged hatch on a crab pumping tank. Four of her six crewmen died. The fishing trawler sank approximately west of Unimak Island in the Aleutian Islands. The fishing vessel Royal Sea rescued her entire crew of eight from a life raft.
