- الهجوم على السفينة مدينة بوروس كانت سفينة سياحية يونانية التي قامت برحلات يومية لرحلات سيكلاديك إلى هيدرا وإيجينا وبوروس من فليسفوس مارينا وهو ميناء في ضواحي أثينا. كانت سفينة سيكلاديك كرويسز تقارب 200 قدم تقريبا (60 متر) وقامت برحلة منتظمة تبلغ 16 ميل (26 كيلومتر) بين المرافئ كل يوم بسعة استيعابية قدرها 500 راكب. قبل الهجوم على السفينة أسفر انفجار سيارة مفخخة على رصيف عن مصرع شخصين. في مساء يوم 11 يوليو 1988 تعرضت السفينة لهجوم من قبل مسلح فلسطيني قتل ثمانية سائحين قبل أن يموت هو نفسه في انفجار لاحق. في وقت الهجوم كان هناك 471 شخصا على متن السفينة. - Το απόγευμα της 11ης Ιουλίου 1988 ένας ένοπλος πραγματοποίησε τρομοκρατική επίθεση κατά των επιβατών του κρουαζιερόπλοιου City of Poros ενώ έπλεε ανοιχτά της Αίγινας. Κατά την επίθεση σκοτώθηκαν 7 τουρίστες, ο Έλληνας υποπλοίαρχος του City of Poros και ο δράστης της επίθεσης. (el)
- The City of Poros was a Greek cruise ship that made day-cruises for Cycladic Cruises to Hydra, Aegina and Poros from Flisvos Marina, a port in the Athens suburbs. The Cycladic Cruises' ship was roughly 200 feet (60 m) long, and ran the regular 16 mile (26 km) trip between the two harbours every day, with a carrying capacity of 500 passengers. Four hours before the attack a car laden with explosives exploded on the pier prematurely, killing two Arab terrorists. On the evening of 11 July 1988, the ship was attacked by a Libyan-born Palestinian gunman who killed eight tourists before killing himself in a subsequent explosion. At the time of the attack, there were 471 people on board the ship. (en)
