- Das Regionale Informationszentrum der Vereinten Nationen für Westeuropa (UNRIC) mit Sitz in Brüssel ist die zentrale Informationsstelle der UNO in Westeuropa. In Deutschland besteht ein UNRIC-Verbindungsbüro in Bonn. Die Hauptaufgaben von UNRIC sind, über die Arbeit der Vereinten Nationen zu informieren, das Bewusstsein der Menschen für UNO-relevante Themen zu schärfen und den öffentlichen Dialog zu fördern. UNRIC veröffentlicht in Westeuropa Informationsmaterial, Berichte, Pressemappen und offizielle Dokumente. Die Präsenzbibliothek ist öffentlich zugänglich und beantwortet Anfragen per Telefon und E-Mail. UNO-Dokumente und -Publikationen sind in englischer, französischer und spanischer Sprache erhältlich. Die UNRIC-Webseite kann in Dänisch, Deutsch, Englisch, Finnisch, Französisch, Griechisch, Isländisch, Italienisch, Niederländisch/Flämisch, Norwegisch, Portugiesisch, Schwedisch und Spanisch abgerufen werden. UNRIC arbeitet eng mit Regierungen, Medien, Nichtregierungsorganisationen, Bildungsinstitutionen und Behörden zusammen. - The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) is one of 63 United Nations Information Centres (UNICs) around the world. Their main task is to spread the UN message, raise awareness and create understanding of issues relating to the United Nations' objectives. UNRIC serves the Western European Region by providing and disseminating UN information material, UN reports and documents, press kits, posters, fact sheets and brochures. The intention is to reach out to all segments of society and therefore the UNRIC Reference Library is open to all inquiries about the UN via telephone, e-mail and post. UN documents and publications are available in English, French and Spanish, but some material is also available in other European languages. UNRIC maintains websites in 13 languages of the region: Danish, English, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish and Spanish. Each version presents basic information on the UN, its structure, goals, main documents, affiliated agencies, employment/internship opportunities and main areas of work. UNRIC serve le regioni dell'Europa occidentale fornendo e diffondendo materiale informativo, rapporti e documenti, comunicati stampa, poster, bollettini e brochure. Centrum zostało otwarte w 2004 roku i zastąpiło 9 Centr Informacji ONZ w europejskich stolicach po podjęciu decyzji przez Zgromadzenie Ogólne ONZ. Od 1 stycznia tegoż roku UNRIC świadczy usługi dla państw: Andora, Belgia, Cypr, Dania, Finlandia, Francja, Niemcy, Grecja, Watykan, Islandia, Irlandia, Włochy, Luksemburg, Malta, Monako, Holandia, Norwegia, Portugalia, San Marino, Hiszpania, Szwecja i Wielka Brytania. W pozostałych państwach należących do ONZ funkcję informacyjną dla społeczeństwa pełnią ośrodki informacyjne w stolicy danego kraju, jako United Nations Information Centre (UNIC). - Förenta Nationernas regionala informationskontor för Västeuropa, som förkortas UNRIC (av det engelska namnet United Nations Regional Information Centre ), har sitt säte i Bryssel. UNRIC:s främsta uppgifter består i att sprida Förenta nationernas (FN) budskap och att sprida kunskap om och öka medvetenheten kring organisationen och dess mål UNRIC tillhandahåller information om FN, exempelvis rapporter och dokument, pressmaterial, faktablad, broschyrer och planscher. UNRIC:s syfte är att nå ut till alla delar av samhället och för att uppnå detta har UNRIC också ett bibliotek som mottar frågor från allmänheten. FN-dokument finns tillgängliga på engelska, franska och spanska, men informationsmaterial erbjuds också på andra västeuropeiska språk. UNRIC:s webbplats finns på tretton språk: danska, engelska, finska, franska, grekiska, holländska, isländska, italienska, norska, portugisiska, spanska, svenska och tyska.
