- Thurl Ravenscroft (6. února 1914 – 22. května 2005) byl americký dabér a zpěvák (bas). Známý byl pro svůj příjemný, hluboký hlas. Většinu své kariéry pracoval pro společnost Walta Disneyho a namluvil nespočet postav v jejích filmech a kreslených seriálech. Jeho hlas je možno slyšet také ve Walt Disney World Resort jako hlas některých atrakcí.V kresleném filmu z roku 1966 "Jak Grinch ukradl Vánoce" zpívá ústřední píseň "You are Mean One, Mr. Grinch!" ("Jste nějaký zlý, pane Grinchi!"), ačkoliv nebyl uveden v titulcích filmu. Po dobu 53 let mluvil známou postavu kresleného tygra Tonyho v reklamě na kukuřičné cornflaky firmy Kellogg. Jako basový zpěvák působil v pěveckém uskupení "The Mellomen", které doprovázelo mnoho známých swingových zpěváků. Zpíval také gospely, účinkoval v Metropolitní opeře a v pozdějším věku nahrál několik duetů s různými nepříliš známými zpěvačkami. Zemřel roku 2005 na rakovinu prostaty. (cs)

Ravenscroft fue el vocalista (no aacreditado) de la canción «You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch» en el especial de Navidad de televisión El Grinch: el Cuento Animado (1966), de Chuck Jones, basado en el clásico del Dr. Seuss ¡Cómo El Grinch robó la Navidad!. Su nombre quedó accidentalmente fuera de los créditos, lo que llevó a muchos a creer (erróneamente) que el narrador de la caricatura, Boris Karloff, cantó la canción. He was known as one of the booming voices behind Kellogg's Frosted Flakes animated spokesman Tony the Tiger for more than five decades. He was also the uncredited vocalist for the song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the classic Christmas television special, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Ravenscroft did some voice-over work and singing for Disney in both the films and the attractions at Disneyland (which were later featured at Walt Disney World). The best known of these attractions are Haunted Mansion as a singing bust, Country Bear Jamboree, Mark Twain Riverboat, Pirates of the Caribbean, Disneyland Railroad, and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room as "Fritz". His voice acting career began in 1940 and lasted until his death in 2005 at age 91. (en)
