- Splash Mountain est une attraction des parcs Disney. Although there are variations in the story and features between the three locations, each installation begins with a peaceful outdoor float-through that leads to indoor dark ride segments, with a climactic steep drop into a "briar patch" followed by an indoor finale. The drop is 52.5 feet (16.0 m). In June 2020, it was announced that the U.S. versions of the ride would be receiving a new theme based on Disney's 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. The new ride, which will be titled Tiana's Bayou Adventure, is scheduled to open at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom in late 2024. The Magic Kingdom version of Splash Mountain will close on January 23, 2023. (en)

- Splash Mountain is een boomstamattractie met darkridegedeeltes die te vinden is in de Disney-parken: het Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Magic Kingdom en Tokyo Disneyland. De attractie is gebaseerd op de film Melodie van het zuiden uit 1946. Hoewel er tussen de drie locaties verschillen zitten. Is de opzet grofweg hetzelfde. De rit begint met een rustige tocht in de buitenlucht. Hierna volgen een aantal darkride segmenten en afdalingen. Het laatste gedeelte bestaat uit een afdaling van 16 meter hoog. Ook is het lied Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah op diverse punten hoorbaar. Gedurende de attractie zijn diverse scènes met animatronics uitgebeeld verwijzend naar de bovengenoemd film en de verhalen van . Het idee van Splash Mountain is afkomstig van ontwerper van Walt Disney Imagineering. Hij idee ontstond toen hij in de file stond, waardoor hij binnen een uur het hele idee in 'zijn hoofd' uitgewerkt had. Zijn idee was een attractietype uit een 'catalogusgids' met als thema de Melodie van het Zuiden. De animatronics voor de attractie werden verplaatst vanuit de attractie . Deze zou op termijn toch sluiten, waardoor de animatronics buiten gebruik gesteld werden. (nl)
