- Édouard de Reszke (Varsòvia, 13 de desembre de 1855 Londres, 25 de maig de 1917) fou un cantant d'òpera polonès, germà dels també cantants Jean i Josephine. Cantat dramàtic de la corda de baix, fou alumne del seu germà Jean. Començà la seva carrera a Varsòvia, passant molt aviat al teatre Italià. Després cantà a París, Milà, Torí, Gènova i Lisboa, tornant a París, primer al Teatre Italià i després a Òpera, on es presenta en el paper de Méphistophélès de Faust de Gounod. El 1898 deixà l'Òpera i feu diversos viatges, establint-se definitivament a Londres com a professor de cant. (ca)

- Édouard de Reszke (22 December 1853 – 25 May 1917) was a Polish bass from Warsaw. A member of the musical Reszke family, he was a successful opera singer, as were his brother Jean and his sister Josephine. He made his debut in Aida in Paris on 22 April 1876. Born with an impressive natural voice and equipped with compelling histrionic skills, he became one of the most illustrious opera singers active in Europe and America during the late-Victorian era. He is most famous for his role as Mephistopheles in Faust. He was also known for his roles as Leporello, Sachs, and Hagen. When in London, the Reszke brothers performed for Queen Victoria during gala performances at the Royal Opera House or command performances at Windsor Castle. He was awarded the Royal Victorian Order (R.V.O.) from the Queen. The Reszke brothers were entertained near London by Lady de Grey, a patron of the arts. After he retired from the stage, he taught singing until he had significant health problems. He and his family suffered during the war, cut off from others, with shooting through opposite sides of the house. His health worsened during the war and he died in 1917. (en)

Edward za namową brata Jana uczył się śpiewu, najpierw w Warszawie, a później we Włoszech. Początkowo nie myślał poważnie o karierze zawodowego śpiewaka – jednak, aby zrobić przyjemność siostrze Józefinie, zgłosił się wraz z nią na przesłuchanie do Opery Paryskiej. Wypadł tak dobrze, że dyrektor opery polecił go Verdiemu. 22 kwietnia 1876 zadebiutował rolą Faraona w Aidzie pod batutą Verdiego, odnosząc duży sukces. Śpiewał na wielkich europejskich scenach, przez dwa sezony występował w Paryżu, po czym zaangażowano go do Turynu, a następnie do Mediolanu; później występował w Trieście, Lizbonie i Londynie, często z bratem Janem i Adeliną Patti. W latach 1880–1900 wystąpił ponad 300 razy w Royal Opera House w Londynie. W latach 1891–1903 był solistą Metropolitan Opera w Nowym Jorku (dał 679 przedstawień). Zasłynął w partiach wagnerowskich oraz jako Mefisto w Fauście Gounoda. W 1907 osiadł w Londynie, gdzie założył szkołę śpiewu, którą następnie przeniósł do Warszawy W 1894 roku nabył majątek Garnek pod Częstochową. Dwór zaprojektował i zbudował w latach 1896–1898 francuski architekt Franciszek Arveuf. Zmarł 25 maja 1917 w swoim majątku, spoczął na cmentarzu w Borownie. Jego zięciem był Adam Nałęcz Nieniewski.
