- Der Wettbewerb Kleinkalibergewehr Dreistellungskampf der Männer bei den Olympischen Spielen 2012 in London wurde am 6. August 2012 in den Royal Artillery Barracks ausgetragen. 41 Schützen nahmen daran teil. Der Wettbewerb fand in zwei Runden statt, einer Qualifikations- und einer Finalrunde. In der Qualifikationsrunde hatte jeder Schütze 120 Schuss abzugeben, 40 Schüsse stehend, 40 Schüsse kniend und 40 Schüsse liegend. Für jeden Schuss gab es einen bis 10 Ringe. Die besten acht Schützen qualifizierten sich für das Finale. Hier gaben die Schützen jeweils 10 Schuss im Stehendanschlag ab, wobei die Wertung in Schritten von 0,1 Ringen unterteilt wurden. Die höchstmögliche Wertung pro Schuss war also 10,9. Der Gewinner wurde durch Addierung der Wertungen von Qualifikation und Finale ermittelt. Die für das Finale qualifizierten Schützen sind hellgrün unterlegt. (de)
- The men's 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 2012 Olympic Games took place on 6 August 2012 at the Royal Artillery Barracks. The event consisted of two rounds: a qualifier and a final. In the qualifier, each shooter fired 120 shots with a .22 Long Rifle at 50 metres distance. 40 shots were fired each from the standing, kneeling, and prone positions. Scores for each shot were in increments of 1, with a maximum score of 10. The top 8 shooters in the qualifying round moved on to the final round. There the shooters go through the new ISSF final, which consists of 45 shots, if you make it through the entirety of the final. The shooters start off in the kneeling position, where they fire three series of five shots, with decimal scoring. Then the shooters move on, to changeover and sighting time, which first consists of seven minutes. Then the shooters go into the prone position, where again they shoot three series of five shoots, on decimal scoring. The second changeover time, for the standing position, consists of nine minutes. The athletes shoot two series of five shoots, with decimal scorings. When the first two series are done, seventh and eight place are "eliminated, " kicked out of the competition. Then after every shot, the athlete with the lowest score is eliminated, until the best shooter is found. In 2012, the finals were shot under the old format, with the qualification scores carrying over into the final, and only ten shots in the standing position are fired, in decimal scores. (en)

Итальянец Никколо Камприани стал первым в истории своей страны медалистом в данной дисциплине. Для Мэттью Эммонса бронзовая медаль этих игр стала уже третьей в карьере, прежде он становился чемпионом в 2004 году и серебряным медалистом Игр 2008 года в стрельбе лёжа из винтовки на 50 метров. - A prova da carabina três posições masculino do tiro nos Jogos Olímpicos de Verão de 2012 foi disputada em 6 de agosto no Royal Artillery Barracks, em Londres. 41 atletas de 28 nações participaram do evento. A competição consistiu de duas rodadas (uma de qualificação, e uma final). Na qualificação, cada atirador efetuou 120 disparos usando um fuzil calibre 22 a uma distância fixa de 50 metros do alvo, sendo 40 disparos a partir de cada posição (em pé, ajoelhado e deitado). Cada tiro vale de 1 a 10 pontos. Os 8 melhores atiradores desta fase avançam à final. Nesta fase, os atiradores efetuam mais 10 disparos, que valem de 0.1 a 10.9. A pontuação total de todos os 130 disparos determinam a pontuação final. O medalhista de ouro foi Niccolò Campriani, da Itália, a medalha de prata foi para o coreano Kim Jong-hyun e o bronze foi para Matthew Emmons, dos Estados Unidos. (pt)
