Mark Gatiss (born 17 October, 1966) is an English actor, screenwriter and novelist. He is best known as a member of the comedy team The League of Gentlemen, and is one of only three people to have both written for and acted in Doctor Who.

Jest autorem wielu dzieł opartych na motywach tej produkcji: czterech powieści, dwóch słuchowisk oraz siostrzanego serialu P.R.O.B.E.. Pisywał także felietony do magazynów dla fanów serialu. Kiedy w 2005 BBC po wielu latach przerwy wznowiło produkcję "Doctora...", Gatiss spełnił marzenie swojego życia i napisał scenariusz do dwóch jego odcinków. W 2007 został ponownie zaproszony na plan, tym razem jako aktor grający gościnnie w jednym z epizodów. Był także narratorem serialu dokumentalnego na temat "Doctora Who". Wśród wielu innych produkcji filmowych i telewizyjnych z jego udziałem, w Polsce najbardziej znane jest jest Wszystko gra Woody'ego Allena. Jest także autorem biografii reżysera Jamesa Whale'a oraz powieści Klub Wezuwiusza. Prywatnie jest homoseksualistą i mieszka wraz ze swym partnerem w Londynie. (pl)
