- The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF), previously named Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film (French: Festival international du film fantastique de Bruxelles, Dutch: Internationaal Festival van de Fantastische Film van Brussel) was created in 1983 as a venue for horror, thriller and science fiction films. It takes place in Brussels, every year in March. Initially organized by Annie Bozzo, Gigi Etienne, Freddy Bozzo, Georges Delmote and Guy Delmote, it now has prizes in both feature-length and short films, and also hosts an international body-painting competition. The festival is accredited by the FIAPF as a competitive specialised film festival. Winners of the grand prize, the Golden Raven statuette, include Army of Darkness, Radioactive Dreams, and Dog Soldiers. (en)

- Le Festival international du film fantastique de Bruxelles (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival ou BIFFF) est un festival de cinéma créé en 1983 par Annie Bozzo, Gigi Étienne, Freddy Bozzo, Georges Delmote et Guy Delmote. Les films en compétition sont des films d’horreur, des thrillers et des films de science-fiction. Le festival se déroule à Bruxelles tous les ans au mois d'avril. Jusqu'en 2006, il se déroulait en mars, mais en 2007 il a été obligé de se délocaliser, l'ancienne salle du Passage 44 devant subir une rénovation profonde. Le site de Tour et Taxis, toujours à Bruxelles, a été choisi pour accueillir le festival au mois d'avril de 2007 jusqu'en 2012. Depuis 2013, les éditions ont et seront organisées au palais des beaux-arts (Bozar) de Bruxelles, également durant le mois d'avril. En 2022 ,le festival est déplacé au Plateau du Heysel (Atomium) dans le Palais 10 des palais des expositions de Bruxelles. Le nom du festival varie beaucoup selon les sources et les traductions. Son nom officiel est Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, uniquement en anglais. Les noms des prix internationaux sont aussi uniquement en anglais, sauf le prix Méliès (Méliès d'or et Méliès d'argent). (fr)

- Het Internationaal Festival van de Fantastische Film, Science Fiction en Thriller (internationaal bekend als Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film, BIFFF) werd voor het eerst georganiseerd in Brussel van 13 tot 29 maart 1983, en vindt sedertdien jaarlijks plaats. Naast voorstellingen (vaak avant-premières) van "fantastische films" (horror, sciencefiction, fantasy, thriller, zowel langspeelfilms als kortfilms en animatiefilms) op verschillende locaties in Brussel zijn er ook randevenementen zoals tentoonstellingen, maquillage- en bodypainting-wedstrijden, of een vampierenbal. Het festivalcentrum is het Auditorium van de Passage 44 aan de Kruidtuinlaan in Brussel. Het festival is uitgegroeid tot een toonaangevend evenement in zijn genre, met jaarlijks ca. 100 langspeelfilms op het programma, en meer dan 60.000 bezoekers. Op het festival wordt veel ruimte gegeven aan de minder commerciële films, die weinig kans maken om via de normale distributiekanalen in de bioscoopzalen vertoond te worden. Tijdens het festival worden ook prijzen uitgereikt, waarvan de belangrijkste de Gouden Raaf is voor de beste film (de Raaf verwijst naar het gedicht The Raven van Edgar Allan Poe). (nl)
