- The Dark Kingdom (ダーク・キングダム, Dāku Kingudamu) is a group of fictional characters in the Sailor Moon manga series by Naoko Takeuchi. They are the chief villains of the first story arc in every version of the series, and were first introduced in the first chapter of the manga, "Usagi – Sailor Moon", originally published in Japan's Nakayoshi on 28 December 1991. In some English adaptations, the Dark Kingdom's title was changed to Negaverse. In each variation of the series, the characters—led by —attempt to steal life energy from humans and the Silver Crystal so they can release the evil Queen Metaria, who was imprisoned by Queen Serenity during the destruction of the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millennium period. - Dark Kingdom (ダークキングダム Dāku Kingudamu?) è il nome collettivo con il quale vengono indicati i nemici della prima serie di Sailor Moon; nell'adattamento italiano dell'anime, nonché nella prima edizione italiana del manga, il loro nome è stato tradotto e vengono chiamato Regno delle tenebre. Sono presenti in tutte le versioni della storia (anime, manga, serie TV, e musical) e hanno un ruolo particolarmente significativo ai fini della storia, in quanto responsabili della distruzione dell'antico regno della Luna, Silver Millennium. Gli appartenenti al Dark Kingdom sono ritornati all'opera per conquistare la Terra e prendersi così la propria vendetta su Serenity. Alla guida del Dark Kingdom c'è Queen Beryl, e sottoposti a lei gli Shitennō, noti come 4 generali nell'adattamento italiano dell'anime, che cercano di raccogliere energia umana per risvegliare la terribile Queen Metaria, in attesa di impossessarsi del Cristallo d'argento illusorio e infine le creature chiamate yōma (chiamati nell'adattamento italiano "mostri"), servono allo scopo, e vengono utilizzati di volta in volta dal generale di turno. Её члены являются основными противниками героев в первой сюжетной арке серии и ответственны за разрушение древнего . Тёмное Королевство вернулось к своему существованию в XX веке, когда слуги тех, кто служил королеве Металии тысячелетия назад (в битве против цивилизации на Луне), были возрождены. Королева Берилл и её четверо генералов (ситэнно) управляют этой группой, стараясь собрать энергию людей, чтобы возродить Металлию. Один из генералов вызывает созданий, зовущихся демонами (яп. 妖魔 ё:ма), представляющимися как в аниме, чтобы выкачать энергию, найти принцессу, остановить сейлор воинов или выполнить какие-либо другие задачи, чтобы Тёмное Королевство могло осуществить свои преступные планы.
