The Naqshbandi (Persian: نقشبندی) or Naqshbandiyah (Arabic: نقشبندية, romanized: Naqshbandīyah), is a major Sunni spiritual order of Sufism. It got its name from Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari. Some Naqshbandi masters trace their lineage through Ali, his son-in-law and successor, in keeping with most other Sufis. In Iraq, people belonging to the Army of the Men of the Naqshbandi Order are fighting the Iraqi government intending to get their country back from "American control".
