November 2018 auf dem Streamingdienst Netflix ihre Premiere feierte. Sie ist ein Reboot der Serie She-Ra – Prinzessin der Macht (Originaltitel She-Ra: Princess of Power), die in den USA von 1985 bis 1987 produziert wurde und in Deutschland ab 1989 im Fernsehen zu sehen war. Die Idee zur Serie stammt von dem Comiczeichner ND Stevenson, der zudem die Figur Spinnerella spricht. Zunächst sollte die Serie nur eine Staffel umfassen, allerdings gab Stevenson im November 2018 bekannt, dass insgesamt vier Erzählstränge geplant sind, die aus jeweils 13 Episoden bestehen werden.
