- Idrissa Sanou (* 12. Juni 1977) ist ein burkinischer Sprinter, der sich auf den 100-Meter-Lauf spezialisiert hat. 2002 wurde er französischer Meister im 100-Meter-Lauf. Über dieselbe Distanz gewann er bei den Leichtathletik-Afrikameisterschaften 2002 in Radès die Bronzemedaille und bei den Leichtathletik-Afrikameisterschaften 2004 in Brazzaville die Silbermedaille. 2005 siegte er bei den Jeux de la Francophonie in Niamey. Sanou nahm dreimal an Olympischen Spielen teil. Sein bestes Resultat war der Einzug in die Viertelfinalrunde bei den Olympischen Spielen 2004 in Athen. Bei seinen fünf Teilnahmen an Leichtathletik-Weltmeisterschaften seit 2001 kam er nur 2005 in Helsinki über die erste Qualifikationsrunde hinaus. Idrissa Sanou ist 1,83 m groß und hat ein Wettkampfgewicht von 80 kg. Sein älterer Bruder Olivier Sanou war im Hochsprung und im Dreisprung erfolgreich. (de)

Sanou won a bronze medal at the 2002 African Championships in Radès, and a silver medal two years later in Brazzaville. Participating in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, he achieved fourth place in his 100 metres heat, thus qualifying on due to time to the second round where he lost the race. He finished seventh at the 2006 African Championships and fourth at the 2008 African Championships. Sanou represented Burkina Faso at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He competed at the 100 metres sprint and placed 6th in his heat without advancing to the second round. He ran the distance in a time of 10.63 seconds. (en)

Jest dwukrotnym medalistą (srebrnym i brązowym) Mistrzostw Afryki. Sanou trzykrotnie uczestniczył w Igrzyskach Olimpijskich, ale nigdy nie awansował do drugiej rundy tej imprezy. W 2000 roku był siódmy, w 2004 – ósmy, a w 2008 – szósty w eliminacjach. Na Mistrzostwach Świata startował pięć razy, z czego raz udało mu się dostać do ćwierćfinałów (Helsinki 2005).
