- تعتبر حالة حقوق الإنسان في الأراضي التي يسيطر عليها تنظيم داعش من أسوأ الحالات في التاريخ الحديث، وقد انتقدتها العديد من المنظمات الحقوقية والسياسية والدينية. ذكرت لجنة الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان أن تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية «يسعى إلى إخضاع المدنيين تحـت سيطرته والهيمنة على كل جوانب حياتهم من خلال الرعب والتلقين الأيديولوجي وتوفير الخدمات لمن يطيعهم.» (ar)
- The state of human rights in the territory which is controlled by the Islamic State (ISIL/ISIS) is considered one of the worst states of human rights, if not the worst state of human rights in modern history and it has been harshly criticized by many political and religious organisations, as well as by many individuals. The Islamic State's policies included acts of genocide, torture and slavery. The United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) has stated that the Islamic State "seeks to subjugate civilians under its control and dominate every aspect of their lives through terror, indoctrination, and the provision of services to those who obey". ISIS actions of extreme criminality, terror, recruitment and other activities has been documented in the Middle East and several other regions around the world. The territory in Iraq and Syria which was formerly occupied by ISIS (areas which ISIS claimed comprised part of its self-dubbed "Caliphate") saw the creation of one of the most criminally active, corrupt and violent regimes in modern times, and it ruled that territory until its defeat. The ISIS organization and regime murdered tens of thousands of civilians,kidnapped several thousand people, and forced hundreds of thousands of others to flee. ISIS systematically committed torture, mass rapes, forced marriages, extreme acts of ethnic cleansing, mass murder, genocide, robbery, extortion, smuggling, slavery, kidnappings, and the use of child soldiers; in ISIS' implementation of strict interpretations of Sharia law which were based on ancient eighth-century methods, they carried out public "punishments" such as beheadings, crucifixions, beatings, mutilation and dismemberment, the stoning of both children and adults, and the live burning of people. ISIS committed mass rape against tens of thousands of children, mostly girls and women (mainly members of non-Sunni minority groups and families). Several human rights organizations and peace organizations, including Human Rights Watch, the United Nations and Amnesty International, have deemed ISIS guilty of crimes against humanity, and they have also accused the whole ISIS organization of being a criminal organization, one which has committed some of the most severe war crimes since World War II. - A situação dos direitos humanos em territórios controlados pelo Estado Islâmico do Iraque e do Levante é considerada uma das piores da história moderna e tem sido severamente criticada por muitos políticos, organizações religiosas e cidadãos notáveis. As políticas do Estado Islâmico incluíam atos graves de genocídio, tortura e escravidão, com a (UNCHR) declarando que o Estado Islâmico busca subjugar os civis sob seu controle e dominar todos os aspectos de suas vidas por meio do terror, doutrinação e prestação de serviços à organização. Várias organizações de direitos humanos e organizações de paz, incluindo o Human Rights Watch, as Nações Unidas e a Amnistia Internacional, consideraram o EIIL culpado de crimes contra a humanidade e também a acusam de ser uma organização criminosa, que cometeu alguns dos crimes de guerra mais graves desde a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
