- Der Winterwurf-Europacup (englisch European Throwing Cup) ist ein vom Europäischen Leichtathletikverband (engl.: European Athletic Association – EAA) veranstalteter Wettkampf der leichtathletischen Wurfdisziplinen von Diskus, Hammer, Speer und Kugel. - The European Throwing Cup (until 2016 European Cup Winter Throwing) is an annual continental athletics competition for athletes specialising in the events of discus, javelin and hammer throwing and the shot put. The winter event, organised every March by the European Athletics Association, is intended as a counterbalance to the fact that indoor track and field meetings cannot host the longer throwing events. It allows athletes who specialise in throwing events to gauge their form for the forthcoming outdoor athletics season. The event was first held in Nice, France, in 2001 as the European Winter Throwing Challenge. It was renamed as a European Cup event in 2005 when it was held in Mersin, Turkey. (en)

Nell'evento gli atleti coinvolti rappresentano la loro nazione. I loro risultati sono convertiti in punti e la squadra vincente è quella che riesce a conquistare più punti. Questa manifestazione riguarda soltanto le specialità dei lanci: lancio del giavellotto, lancio del disco, lancio del martello e getto del peso.In ogni competizione, i concorrenti sono divisi in due gruppi a seconda del loro primato personale. La prima edizione della manifestazione si è svolta nella città francese di Nizza. Fino al 2015 era nota come Coppa Europa invernale di lanci (in inglese European Cup Winter Throwing). (it)
- De European Cup Winter Throwing (Nederlands: Europacup Winterwerpen) is een jaarlijks Europees atletiekkampioenschap, dat wordt georganiseerd door de European Athletic Association (EAA). De wedstrijd wordt in maart gehouden en omvat de vier werponderdelen: discuswerpen, speerwerpen, kogelslingeren en kogelstoten. De wedstrijd wordt sinds 2001 georganiseerd en wisselt jaarlijks van locatie. De wedstrijd heette tot en met 2004 European Winter Throwing Challenge. De wedstrijd bevat, naast de seniorencategorie voor mannen en vrouwen, ook sinds 2007 voor beide geslachten een categorie voor neo-senioren. De wedstrijd is bedoeld ter compensatie van het ontbreken van indoorwedstrijden voor de werponderdelen (met uitzondering van kogelstoten). De Europese Cup Winterwerpen is een wedstrijd die in landenteams wordt afgewerkt. Elk team zendt twee atleten uit per onderdeel bij de seniorencategorieën en één atleet per onderdeel bij de neo-senioren. Uiteindelijk wordt er per categorie een eindstand opgemaakt. - Puchar Europy w rzutach (en. European Throwing Cup, do 2015 Zimowy puchar Europy w rzutach) – zawody lekkoatletyczne organizowane rokrocznie, począwszy od roku 2001, przez European Athletics. Do 2005 impreza nosiła nazwę zimowego challenge w rzutach. Gospodarzem pierwszej edycji imprezy było francuskie miasto Nicea. W zawodach sportowcy rywalizują w rzucie oszczepem, rzucie dyskiem, rzucie młotem oraz pchnięciu kulą. Wyniki zawodników z poszczególnych krajów są przeliczane na punkty – ostatecznie zwycięża reprezentacja, która uzyskała największą liczbę punktów. W każdej z konkurencji zawodnicy dzieleni są na dwie grupy – kryterium przydziału jest rekord życiowy. (pl)

Традиционно проходит в середине марта на открытом воздухе (как правило, в странах Южной Европы). К участию допускаются спортсмены как в составе команд, так и выступающие индивидуально. Первый турнир состоялся в 2001 году. В программу Кубка Европы по метаниям входят толкание ядра, метание диска, метание молота и метание копья. Соревнования проводятся в двух возрастных категориях: взрослые и молодёжь до 23 лет (с 2007 года). (ru)
