- Die Gesangspädagogik beschäftigt sich mit dem Aufbau einer für den musikalischen Gebrauch geeigneten Gesangstechnik und mit der Verbindung der erworbenen stimmtechnischen Fertigkeiten mit der künstlerischen Interpretation von Vokalmusik. Gesangsunterricht wird an öffentlichen und privaten Musikschulen, Konservatorien, Musikhochschulen sowie im Privatunterricht gegeben und läuft generell im Einzelunterricht ab. Über Förderprogramme wird Gesangsunterricht an Schulen vermehrt auch als Unterricht in Kleingruppen oder in Klassenverbänden erteilt. Auch Volkshochschulen bieten Gesangsunterricht in Gruppen an. Für Chöre besteht die Möglichkeit der chorischen Stimmbildung. (de)
- La educación o pedagogía vocal se puede definir como la relación entre la música y el ser humano. La misma trata de la enseñanza y del aprendizaje del código musical (sonidos) en relación con las imágenes (luces) y/o con el movimiento (geometrías). La pedagogía musical se relaciona con la pedagogía general ya que muchos conceptos y perspectivas de la pedagogía general son utilizados y forman parte de la pedagogía musical. De igual modo, otras disciplinas como la psicología, la sociología, la antropología, la medicina, la musicología, la historia y la pedagogía artística proporcionan métodos y conocimientos importantes para la pedagogía musical. It is used in the teaching of singing and assists in defining what singing is, how singing works, and how proper singing technique is accomplished. Vocal pedagogy covers a broad range of aspects of singing, ranging from the physiological process of vocal production to the artistic aspects of interpretation of songs from different genres or historical eras. Typical areas of study include:
* Human anatomy and physiology as it relates to the physical process of singing.
* Breathing and air support for singing
* Posture for singing
* Phonation
* Vocal resonation or voice projection
* Diction, vowels and articulation
* Vocal registration
* Sostenuto and legato for singing
* Other singing elements, such as range extension, tone quality, vibrato, coloratura
