- Letiště Berlín-Gatow, ležící v bývalé čtvrti Berlín-Gatow, dnes v městském obvodu Berlín-Spandau, sehrál v civilní dopravě města jen zcela podřadnou roli. Jeho užití spočívalo v roli vojenského letiště britského letectva RAF, významnější roli letiště sehrálo během Berlínské blokády. Letiště leží v bývalém britském sektoru města. Berlínské letiště v městské části Gatow bylo postaveno roku 1935 v rámci znovuvyzbrojení nacistického Německa; poté zde byla umístěna Letecká válečná škola a Letecká akademie německé Luftwaffe. V květnu 1945 bylo letiště obsazeno Rudou armádou, ale již v červenci téhož roku bylo letiště předáno britské RAF. Generál Eisenhower a generál Clay na letišti RAF Gatow během postupimské konference v roce 1945 Letiště sehrálo značnou roli během berlínské blokády jako jedno ze dvou tehdy fungujících letišť pro starty a přistání letadel, účastnících se tzv. leteckého mostu. Přistálo zde 28. června 1948 vůbec první letadlo tohoto zásobování ze vzduchu. Již během krátké doby zde bylo vyloženo 1000 tun potravin a materiálu za den. Během této operace (nazývané Plain Fair) byla britským letectvem nasazeny i hydroplány, které přistávaly na vodních plochách jezera Wannsee poblíž letiště). Civilní doprava na letišti Gatow trvala pouze velice krátkou dobu a nehrála žádnou větší roli. Britská společnost zahájila roku 1946 z tohoto letiště spojení se Západním Německem. Roku 1950 byl však civilní provoz koncentrován na letišti Berlín-Tempelhof. Protože se letiště nacházelo v britském sektoru, dbala britská administrace toho, že přistání a odlety veškerých návštěv příslušníků královského dvora se konaly na tomto letišti. Dne 18. června 1994 opustili spojenci Berlín a letiště bylo předáno německé armádě. Letecký provoz byl však již roku 1995 pozastaven. Dnes se na pozemku letiště nacházejí kasárna a muzeum. (cs)
- Der ehemalige Flugplatz Gatow, die heutige General-Steinhoff-Kaserne, liegt im Berliner Bezirk Spandau. Der Flugbetrieb wurde zum 30. Juni 1994 eingestellt. Heute befinden sich auf einem Teil des verbliebenen Areals das Militärhistorische Museum der Bundeswehr – Flugplatz Berlin-Gatow (ehemals: Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr) sowie einige Dienststellen der Bundeswehr, unter anderem das Kommando Luftwaffe. Bis zur Gebietsreform im Jahr 2003 lag der ehemalige Flugplatz im Ortsteil Gatow. Seit 2003 gehört ein Großteil des Gebietes zum Ortsteil Kladow. (de)

- Royal Air Force Gatow, or more commonly RAF Gatow, was a British Royal Air Force station (military airbase) in the district of Gatow in south-western Berlin, west of the Havel river, in the borough of Spandau. It was the home for the only known operational use of flying boats in central Europe, and was later used for photographic reconnaissance missions by de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunks over East Germany. Part of the former airfield is now called General Steinhoff-Kaserne, and is home to the Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr, the German Air Force Museum. Also on the site of the former Royal Air Force station, but not part of General Steinhoff-Kaserne, is a school, the Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium, as well as houses for government employees of the Federal Republic of Germany. This part of the former airfield has since 2003 been part of the district of Berlin-Kladow. (en)

Flygplatsen är döpt efter Berlinstadsdelen Gatow som området tillhörde fram till 2003, då stadsdelsgränserna drogs om. Gatows flygplats anlades för Luftwaffes stridspilotutbildning i mitten av 1930-talet. Flygplatsen låg i den brittiska ockupationssektorn av Berlin från 1945 till 1990 och användes främst av britterna i militärt syfte. Den kom även att användas vid Berlins luftbro under Berlinblockaden 1948-1949, tillsammans med Berlin-Tegels flygplats och Berlin-Tempelhofs flygplats. Idag är Gatow hem för Bundeswehrs flygvapenmuseum. (sv)
