- Los partidos políticos de Chile, o mejor dicho el sistema de partidos, distingue claramente tres grupos en Chile, que son izquierda política, el centro político, y la derecha política, pluralista y medianamente fragmentando antes del año 1973. Dicha distinción ha existido desde fines del siglo XIX, pero ocupada en cada ocasión por distintos partidos que han participado en la gestión del Estado o han estado representados en el Congreso Nacional. Los partidos políticos son reconocidos legal y formalmente en la Constitución Política de la República de Chile de 1980 y por la Ley Orgánica Constitucional de los Partidos Políticos de 1987 como organizaciones que participan del ordenamiento político y contribuyen a encauzar la opinión pública. - The political parties of Chile are three clearly categorized, distinct, political groups: the left-wing, the center and the right-wing. Before the 1973 coup, these three political groups were moderately pluralistic and fragmented. This distinction has existed since the end of the 19th Century. Since then, the three groups have been made up of different parties. Each party has had some amount of power in the management of the State or has been represented in the National Congress. Political parties are recognized legally and formally by Political Constitution of the Republic of Chile of 1980 and by the Organic Constitutional Law of Political Parties of 1987 as organizations that participate in the legal political system and contribute to guiding public opinion. - I partiti polítici in Cile si possono distinguere in tre gruppi: sinistra - centro - destra. Questa divisione è tipica di molte altre nazioni del mondo. Il sistema politico del Cile è di tipo pluralista e fino al 1973 è stato molto frammentato, caratterizzato dalla presenza di tanti partiti. A differenza degli altri paesi dell'America Latina in Cile non sono mai sorte organizzazioni politiche legate al proprio leader tranne il di Carlos Ibáñez del Campo per un breve periodo. Dal 1990 il panorama politico del paese è così suddiviso: alla destra l'UDI, al centro-destra RN, al centro il PDC e Partito Liberale, al centro-sinistra il PRSD, PPD e il PS, a sinistra il PCC, Partito Ecologista Verde del Cile, Partito Umanista, IC ed il , ed i partiti regionalisti come il PRI e . Il Cile inoltre è caratterizzato dalla presenza di quattro coalizioni politiche: Coalizione per il Cambiamento (RN-UDI-C1) a destra, Concertazione dei Partiti per la Democrazia (DC-PS-PPD-PRSD), Nueva Majoría para Chile (PH-PE) e Por un Chile Limpio (PRI-PE-MAS) a centro-sinistra e la Juntos Podemos(PC-IC) a sinistra (extraparlamentare). I partiti politici sono regolati dalla legge contenuta nella Costituzione del Cile del 1987 e nel periodo tra il 1973 ed il 1988 i partiti appartenenti all'Unidad Popular sono stati messi al bando (PS, PC, MAPU, PR).
