Four out of ten Federation's cantons have Croat majority. Bosniak in Croatia amounted to 31,479 at the 2011 census (0.7%). Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe. Croatia joined the European Union in 2013, while Bosnia and Herzegovina is only a potential candidate for EU accession. Bosnia and Herzegovina has an embassy in Zagreb, while Croatia has an embassy in Sarajevo and six consulates in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla, Livno and Vitez. The two countries share a 932-kilometer (579 mi) border - the second longest external EU land border after the Finland/Russia border. (en)
