- The A9 motorway (Croatian: Autocesta A9) is a north–south motorway in Croatia, with a length of 78.3 kilometres (48.7 miles). Beginning in Pula, the largest city on the Istrian peninsula, it runs north to the Croatian motorway and expressway network at the Kanfanar interchange. Here it meets the A8 motorway, forming the Istrian Y road system. The A9 continues north from here to the Kaštel and Plovanija border crossings into Slovenia. The motorway represents a significant north–south transportation corridor in Croatia and is a part of the European route E751. The motorway's national significance is reflected in the positive economic impact on the cities and towns it connects, as well as its importance to tourism in Croatia. Importance of the motorway for tourism is particularly high during summer tourist seasons, when traffic volume increases by more than 80%. The A9 motorway construction works began in 1988 with its first section opening in 1991, the second one following the next year and extending the completed route to just 13.6 kilometres (8.5 miles). Lack of funding caused delays in further development, and in 1995, BINA Istra was awarded a 32-year build-operate-transfer concession to develop the Istrian Y, including the A9. Construction soon resumed, and by 2006 the entire route was completed as a two-lane expressway with grade separated intersections. In 2008 further construction works were initiated, aimed at upgrading the newly built road to a six-lane motorway. By June 2011 the entire A9 route was brought up to motorway standard, except for the Mirna Bridge and the Limska Draga Viaduct. The motorway is planned to connect to the . The motorway consists of two traffic lanes and an emergency lane in each driving direction, separated by a central reservation, except at the two bridges. All intersections of the A9 motorway are grade separated, and as of September 2011, there are 10 exits and 6 rest areas along the route. Since the motorway is tolled, using a ticket system, each exit includes a toll plaza; and the A9 motorway and the A8 motorway have an integrated toll system in place. (en)

Die A9 ist außerhalb von Umag und Pula mautpflichtig und ihre Streckenlänge beträgt rund 78,4 Kilometer. Mitte 2008 wurde mit dem vierspurigen Ausbau zur Autobahn begonnen. Im Juni 2010 wurde der vierspurig ausgebaute Abschnitt Pula–Kanfanar und am 14. Juni 2011 die zweite Fahrbahn Kanfanar–Umag für den Verkehr freigegeben. (de)
- De A9/B9 is een Kroatische snelweg gelegen op het schiereiland Istrië. In het noorden van het land sluit de weg aan op de grensovergang met Slovenië bij Kaštel en voert vervolgens langs de Istrische kust in zuidelijke richting naar Pula. De weg kent twee viaducten, namelijk die over het dal van de Mirna en het viaduct over het Limski Kanaal. Ten oosten van de stad Rovinj bevindt zich het knooppunt Kanfanar, waar de weg A9/B9 aansluit op de weg A8/B8. Op de kaart gezien vormen de autoweg A9/B9 en de weg A8/B8 een Y-vorm. Vandaar dat de twee wegen ook wel worden aangeduid als de Istrische Y, met het knooppunt Kanfanar in het centrum. (nl)
- L'autocesta A9 (A9) ("autostrada A9"), già superstrada B9 (in lingua croata brza cesta B9), è un'autostrada croata della Regione istriana che collega i due valichi di confine croato-sloveni sul Dragogna (a nord di Buie d'Istria) con Pola, nell'estremo sud della penisola.Rappresenta il ramo occidentale ed inferiore della cosiddetta Y istriana, a servizio della costa occidentale per tutta la sua lunghezza. Completata definitivamente nel 2007 come superstrada a due corsie per senso di marcia, è gestita fino al 2027 dalla Bina istra. La superstrada era composta da due corsie, una per senso di marcia ed era gratuita per circa metà del suo percorso. I tratti a pagamento erano il segmento meridionale, dalla barriera di Pola al raccordo di Canfanaro, che nel giugno del 2010 è stato ultimato a quattro corsie e posto a regime di pedaggio (per le autovetture: 12 kune o 1,66 euro per l'intero tratto, 4 e 6 kune per le uscite intermedie) ed il viadotto sul fiume Quieto (Viadukt Mirna), aperto nel 2005 è una struttura a due corsie lunga 1355 m con i piloni alti 40 m, il costo del passaggio per le autovetture è di 14 kn o 1,95 €: rappresenta l'opera più importante dell'intera struttura viaria. L'altra importante infrastruttura è il ponte sul canale di Leme (Limska draga): costruito tra il 1988 e il 1991, fu il primo tratto della Y istriana ad essere aperto al traffico; il ponte è lungo 552 m e il pilone più alto misura 120 m, la carreggiata è a due corsie ed il transito è gratuito. Nei pressi della località di Canfanaro vi è l'intersezione col ramo orientale della Y istriana, la superstrada B8, che la collega con Mattuglie e quindi il sistema autostradale croato. (it)
- Autostrada A9 (chorw. Autocesta A9) – budowana autostrada w Chorwacji, łącząca miasto Pula na półwyspie Istria z przejściem na granicy ze Słowenią w miejscowości Kaštel. Status dwujezdniowej autostrady posiada 23-kilometrowy odcinek z Puli do węzła Kanfanar. 14 czerwca 2011 oddano do użytku drugą, wschodnią nitkę na odcinku Kanafar - Plovanija i również ten odcinek uzyskał status płatnej autostrady. Została zniesiona oddzielna opłata za przejazd mostem nad rzeką Mirna - włączono ją w opłatę autostradową. (pl)

Шоссе находится на полуострове Истрия и проходит от развязки возле границы со Словенией и съезда на Умаг через развязку Канфанар, где от неё отходит шоссе A8, до города Пула на южной оконечности Истрии. В настоящее время обозначается на картах, и как B9 и как A9. Двойное обозначение связано с тем, что до окончания работ по перестройке шоссе в полноценную автомагистраль шоссе называлось B9, ныне, после завершения этих работ шоссе получило имя A9 и влилось в единую сеть хорватских автобанов. Шоссе A9 на территории Хорватии — часть европейского маршрута E751. A9 кроме того, представляет собой левую ветку и ножку так называемого «Истрийского Y» (Istarski Ipsilon), шоссейной сети Истрии, названной так за внешнее сходство с латинской буквой.
