Neben zahlreichen Loipen mit unterschiedlichem Schwierigkeitsgrad besitzt Soldier Hollow auch einen Schießstand für Biathlon. Während der Olympischen Winterspiele 2002 wurden in Soldier Hollow die Langlauf- und Biathlonwettbewerbe sowie der Langlauf der nordischen Kombination ausgetragen. Probleme bereitete manchen Sportlern die ungewohnte Höhenlage von 1700 bis 1800 m. Gegenwärtig werden die Sportanlagen von Soldier Hollow touristisch genutzt sowie für verschiedene Wettbewerbe wie den nationalen US-amerikanischen Langlaufmeisterschaften. Heute wird das Gebäude der Langläufer als Schule mit sportlichem Schwerpunkt auf Langlauf und Biathlon genutzt. 2017 fand mit den Langlauf-Wettbewerben der Nordischen Junioren-Skiweltmeisterschaften zum ersten Mal seit Olympia 2002 wieder eine internationale Wintersportveranstaltung in Soldier Hollow statt. Im Februar 2019 wurden im Rahmen des Biathlon-Weltcups 2018/19 wieder Rennen der höchsten Kategorie einer Sportart in dem Resort ausgetragen. (de)

The venue was created for the 2002 Winter Olympics, and during the games it hosted the biathlon, cross-country skiing, and the cross country skiing portion of the Nordic combined events. Since hosting the Olympics, it has been developed as a cross-country skiing, tubing, and snowshoeing venue, while featuring mountain biking and golfing in the summer. On May 1, 2016, the venue operation contract transferred from the Soldier Hollow Legacy Foundation to the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, which owns and operates several Olympic and Paralympic legacy venues elsewhere in the state. Si estende per 31 km² e ha uno sviluppo verticale di 128 m, fino a toccare i 1.793 m. Nella stagione pre-olimpica 2000-2001 Soldier Hollow ha ospitato tappe delle Coppe del Mondo di biathlon, di combinata nordica e di sci di fondo, oltre a numerose gare minori (tra cui Nor-Am Cup, Coppe Continentali, Campionati nazionali) delle stesse specialità dello sci nordico.
