- El telesquí o teleesquí és una mena de remuntador, caracteritzat per arrossegar els esquiadors muntanya amunt a través d'un itinerari fix, mentre ells romanen drets sobre els seus esquís. Això ho aconsegueix mitjançant un cable sostingut per diverses pilones que es mou a velocitat fixa i del qual pengen les perxes. Aquestes són uns elements allargats que en transmeten la velocitat als esquiadors gràcies a un acabament perpendicular al seu eix que els esquiadors es col·loquen rere la part superior de les cames, estirant-los endavant. - Un telesquí, también llamado telearrastre, remonta pendientes o T-bar, es un sistema mecánico para transportar esquiadores montaña arriba, por la superficie de la pendiente. Por lo general es empleado en pendientes poco pronunciadas en grandes centros de esquí. El sistema consiste de un cable de acero suspendido a cierta altura, que forma un lazo cerrado que circula sobre una serie de ruedas adosadas a una serie de torretas metálicas en la ladera de la montaña, y que es accionado por un motor. Al cable se encuentran fijados un número de cables retráctiles que cuelgan desde el mismo. Cada uno de estos cables individuales posee en su extremo inferior una barra en forma de T invertida (o ancla) que mide aproximadamente un metro en cada dimensión. La barra horizontal se coloca detrás de las asentaderas del esquiador, el cual lleva sus esquíes calzados. De esta forma el esquiador es traccionado deslizándose sobre la nieve adelante y arriba de la ladera por la fuerza que se transmite a su cadera. Cada barra puede transportar una o dos personas. (es)

- A surface lift is a type of cable transport for snow sports in which skiers and snowboarders remain on the ground as they are pulled uphill. While they were once prevalent, they have been overtaken in popularity by higher-capacity and higher-comfort aerial lifts, such as chairlifts and gondola lifts. Today, surface lifts are most often found on beginner slopes, small ski areas, and peripheral slopes. They are also often used to access glacier ski slopes because their supports can be anchored in glacier ice due to the lower forces and realigned due to glacier movement. Surface lifts have some disadvantages compared to aerial lifts: they require more passenger skill and may be difficult for some beginners (especially snowboarders, whose boards point at an angle different than the direction of travel) and children; sometimes they lack a suitable route back to the piste; the snow surface must be continuous; they can get in the way of skiable terrain; they are relatively slow in speed and have lower capacity. Släpliftar kan dock numera klassas som en något ålderdomlig eller ineffektiv grupp och alltmer byts ut mot linbanor med högre kapacitet som stolliftar och gondolbanor.
