- Der Triumph TR3 war ein von 1955 bis 1962 produzierter Roadster des britischen Herstellers Triumph. Der TR3 erschien im September 1955. Von ihm wurden bis 1957 13.377 Stück gebaut. Im selben Jahr kam die überarbeitete Version TR3A auf den Markt, deren Produktion mit 58.236 Exemplaren bis 1962 lief. Parallel zum neu erscheinenden TR4 wurde in den USA der TR3B verkauft. Un roadster tradicional, el TR3 es una evolución del modelo TR2 anterior de la compañía, con mayor potencia y frenado mejorado. Las variantes actualizadas, conocidas popular pero extraoficialmente como "TR3A" y "TR3B", entraron en producción en 1957 y 1962 respectivamente. El TR3 fue reemplazado por el Triumph TR4, mecánicamente similar y que contaba con una carrocería diseñada por el estilista italiano Giovanni Michelotti. La resistente "pantalla lateral" del TR, llamada así por el uso de ventanas laterales de plexiglás extraíbles, fue un éxito de ventas y del automovilismo. Con aproximadamente 74.800 TR3 vendidos en todas las variantes, el modelo fue el tercero más vendido de la compañía en la gama TR, detrás de los modelos TR7 (111.500 unidades) y TR6 (94.500 unidades).
