- المأكولات البحرية المستدامة هي المأكولات البحرية التي تُصاد أو تُربّى، بطرق تراعي الحيوية طويلة الأجل للأنواع التي صيدت، ورفاه المحيطات، وأيضًا سبل عيش المجتمعات التي تعتمد على مصائد الأسماك. روّج لها لأول مرة من خلال حركة المأكولات البحرية المستدامة، التي بدأت في تسعينيات القرن العشرين. تسلط هذه العملية الضوء على صيد السمك المفرط، وطرق الصيد المدمرة للبيئة. زادت الحركة من الوعي، وأثارت المخاوف بشأن طريقة الحصول على المأكولات البحرية، من خلال عدد من المبادرات. - Se denomina pescado sostenible a aquellos productos del mar (pescado y marisco) tanto provenientes de la pesca como de granjas que pueden mantener o incrementar su producción en el futuro sin afectar en forma negativa a los ecosistemas de los cuales se extraen. El movimiento a favor del pescado sostenible ha ganado impulso conforme más personas han comprendido los riesgos para el medio ambiente de la sobrepesca y los métodos de pesca destructivos. (es)
- Sustainable seafood is seafood that is caught or farmed in ways that consider the long-term vitality of harvested species and the well-being of the oceans, as well as the livelihoods of fisheries-dependent communities. It was first promoted through the sustainable seafood movement which began in the 1990s. This operation highlights overfishing and environmentally destructive fishing methods. Through a number of initiatives, the movement has increased awareness and raised concerns over the way our seafood is obtained. Sustainable seafood is from either fished or farmed sources that can maintain or increase production in the future without jeopardizing the ecosystems from which it was acquired. The sustainable seafood movement has gained momentum as more people become aware of both overfishing and environmentally destructive fishing methods. Fish farming can also have negative environmental effects, such as the destruction of natural wetlands and marine pollution. (en)
- Il pesce sostenibile è il pesce che viene pescato o allevato in maniera da considerare la vitalità a lungo termine degli stock ittici ed il benessere degli oceani nel complesso. Le pratiche che riguardano il pesce e la pesca sostenibile sono nate attraverso un movimento che incominciò negli anni '90.Questa operazione ha messo in luce la pesca eccessiva e i metodi di pesca distruttivi dell'ambiente. Attraverso una serie di iniziative, il movimento ha incrementato la consapevolezza e ha fatto crescere preoccupazioni sui metodi con cui viene pescato il pesce. (it)
