- Medaile Rudolfa Diesela (německy Rudolf-Diesel-Medaille) je ocenění udělované od 24. září 1952 německým (DIE) na památku Rudolfa Diesela. Prestižní ocenění je udělováno za vědeckou práci a vynálezy a inovace, které mají přímý ekonomický přínos a význam. Do roku 1969 byla udělována každoročně, od té doby je udělována nepravidelně, ale přibližně jednou za dva až tři roky. Cena je určena jak jednotlivcům tak organizacím, ale udělena byla i mediálním pořadům nebo společnostem. (cs)
- Die Rudolf-Diesel-Medaille ist ein Innovationspreis, der auf die erfinderische Lebensleistung des deutschen Ingenieurs Rudolf Diesel zurückgeht und im Jahr 1953 von Eugen Diesel, dem Sohn Rudolf Diesels, ins Leben gerufen wurde. Sie wird durch das Deutsche Institut für Erfindungswesen (DIE e.V.) verliehen. Zentrales Ziel ist, die Leistungen von Erfindern und Unternehmern in der Öffentlichkeit angemessen zu würdigen und ihre Arbeit konsequent zu unterstützen. Mit der Rudolf-Diesel-Medaille werden natürliche Personen und Institutionen für besondere Leistungen auf dem Gebiet des Erfindungswesens und der Innovationskultur geehrt. Preisträger sind unter anderem Gottlob Bauknecht, Carl Benz, Wolfgang Giloi, Otto Grim, Ernst Heinkel, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, Hans Peter Stihl, Ferdinand von Zeppelin, die Nobelpreisträger Hermann Staudinger, Ernst Ruska und Manfred Eigen, sowie die SAP-Gründer Dietmar Hopp, Hasso Plattner und Klaus E.
