- MOJO je populární hudební časopis vydávaný měsíčně ve Spojeném království. Původně byla jeho vydavatelem společnost Emap, od ledna 2008 je vydávaný společností Bauer Media Group. Společnost Emap chtěla následovat úspěch časopisu Q a vytvořit časopis, který by uspokujil rostoucí zájem o klasický rock. MOJO bylo poprvé vydáno v listpoadu 1993 a na obálce tohoto vydání byl Bob Dylan a John Lennon. Časopis proslul svými podrobnými články o populárních a kultovních kapelách a tím se stal inspirací pro Blender a Uncut. Psalo pro něj mnoho známých hudebních kritiků, například Charles Shaar Murray, Greil Marcus, Nick Kent nebo Jon Savage. Prvním šéfredaktorem byl Paul Du Noyer, mezi jeho následovníky patří například Mat Snow, Paul Trynka a Pat Gilbert. - Mojo is a popular music magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom, initially by Emap, and since January 2008 by Bauer. Following the success of the magazine Q, publishers Emap were looking for a title that would cater for the burgeoning interest in classic rock music. The magazine was designed to appeal to the 30 to 45-plus age group, or the baby boomer generation. Mojo was first published on 15 October 1993. In keeping with its classic rock aesthetic, the first issue had Bob Dylan and John Lennon as its first cover stars. Noted for its in-depth coverage of both popular and cult acts, it acted as the inspiration for Blender and Uncut. Many noted music critics have written for it, including Charles Shaar Murray, Greil Marcus, Nick Kent, Jon Savage and Sylvie Simmons. The launch editor of Mojo was Paul Du Noyer and his successors have included Mat Snow, Paul Trynka and Pat Gilbert. While some criticise it for its frequent coverage of classic rock acts such as the Beatles and Bob Dylan, it has nevertheless featured many newer and "left-field" acts. It was the first mainstream magazine in the UK to focus on the White Stripes, whom it has covered as zealously as it has many older acts. Mojo regularly includes a covermount CD that ties in with a current magazine article or theme. It introduced the Mojo Honours list, an awards ceremony that is a mixture of readers' and critics' awards, in 2004. In early 2010, Mojo was involved in a controversial move by its new parent company, Bauer, to unilaterally impose a new contract on all photographers and writers, taking away their copyright, and offloading liability for libel or copyright infringement from the publisher onto the contributor. Na het succes van het tijdschrift Q, besloot Emap een blad te bedenken dat meer inspeelde op de groeiende interesse in classic rock. Op de voorkant van de eerste editie, die werd uitgegeven op 15 oktober 1993, stonden Bob Dylan en John Lennon afgebeeld. Geregeld is het tijdschrift voorzien van een verzamelalbum en bij tijd en wijle stelt het blad zogenaamde 'lijsten' samen, zoals een lijst van de honderd beste protestliederen, een lijst van de honderd beste nummers met drugs als onderwerp en een lijst van de meest droevige liedjes. In 2007 bracht Mojo een door een jury van muzikanten bepaalde lijst van de honderd meest invloedrijke platen uit, "100 records that changed the world".
