- Die Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2008 wurden am 18. Oktober 2007 verliehen. Es war die 6. Verleihung des ursprünglich unter dem Namen MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica eingeführten Awards. Die Verleihung fand zum zweiten Mal im Palacio de los Deportes in Mexiko-Stadt statt. Die Moderation übernahm Diego Luna. Die meisten Nominierungen erhielt Belinda mit insgesamt fünf, dicht gefolgt von Alejandro Sanz und den Babasónicos mit je vier. (de)
- The annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2007 took place on 18 October 2007 in Mexico City at the Palacio de los Deportes for the second time in a row. On 25 July 2007 the local government announced they will invest 10 million pesos on the show's planning and that they will have 16 giant screens around the city to broadcast the event live. There were 3 new categories: Best Urban Artist, Influence Award and Fashionista. Diego Luna was the host for the third time. He previously co-hosted the 2002 edition and hosted the 2003 edition. Belinda Peregrin was the most nominated female artist of the year. Café Tacuba were expected to play live on the show, but one day before the show MTV cancelled their presentation because according to MTV policies they can't have any other activities except for the ones MTV has planned for them in the upcoming week. The band are expected to play on "Las Lunas del Auditorio" on 24 October 2007. It was announced during the red carpet that 12 million votes were counted for the different categories. Jose Tillan was the Executive Producer of the event. (en)
- Gli MTV Video Music Awards Latin America 2007 sono stati trasmessi il 18 ottobre 2007 dal Palacio de los Deportes in Città del Messico. La cerimonia è stata la sesta edizione. Come nel 2002 e nel 2003, il presentatore ufficiale è stato il messicano Diego Luna. In questa edizione ci furono tre nuove categorie: Mejor Artista Urbano (Miglior artista Hip Hop/R'n'B), Premio Influencia (Premio influenza) e Fashionista. Durante il red carpet fu annunciato che 12 milioni di voti sono stati contati per le varie categorie. Uno dei momenti più memorabili dell'edizione è stato l'esibizione di "From Yesterday" dei Thirty Seconds to Mars insieme alla cantante Ely Guerra dove il pubblico ha esaltato durante la performance.
