- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) designates World Heritage Sites of outstanding universal value to cultural or natural heritage which have been nominated by countries which are signatories to the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, established in 1972. Cultural heritage consists of monuments (such as architectural works, monumental sculptures, or inscriptions), groups of buildings, and sites (including archaeological sites). Natural features (consisting of physical and biological formations), geological and physiographical formations (including habitats of threatened species of animals and plants), and natural sites which are important from the point of view of science, conservation or natural beauty, are defined as natural heritage. Myanmar, officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and also called Burma, ratified the convention on 29 April 1994. As of 2022, Myanmar has two sites on the list: Pyu Ancient Cities were listed in 2014 and Bagan in 2019. Both sites are cultural. In addition, Myanmar has 15 sites on its tentative list. (en)

- I patrimoni dell'umanità della Birmania sono i siti dichiarati dall'UNESCO come patrimonio dell'umanità in Birmania, che è divenuta parte contraente della Convenzione sul patrimonio dell'umanità il 29 aprile 1994. Al 2021 i siti iscritti nella Lista dei patrimoni dell'umanità sono due, mentre quindici sono le candidature per nuove iscrizioni. Il primo sito iscritto nella lista sono state nel 2014 le Antiche città Pyu, durante la trentottesima sessione del comitato del patrimonio mondiale. Cinque anni dopo, nella quarantatreesima sessione, Bagan è divenuta il secondo sito birmano riconosciuto dall'UNESCO. Entrambi i siti sono considerati culturali, secondo i criteri di selezione. (it)

Esta é uma lista do Patrimônio Mundial existente em Myanmar, especificamente classificada pela UNESCO e elaborada de acordo com dez principais critérios cujos pontos são julgados por especialistas na área. Myanmar, um país de grande extensão territorial do sudeste asiático, ratificou a convenção em 29 de abril de 1994, tornando seus locais históricos elegíveis para inclusão na lista. O sítio Antigas Cidades Pyu foi o primeiro local de Myanmar incluído na lista do Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO por ocasião da 38ª Sessão do Comitè do Património Mundial, realizada em Doha (Catar) em 2014. Desde a mais recente adesão à lista, Myanmar totaliza 2 sítios classificados como Patrimônio da Humanidade pela UNESCO, sendo ambos os locais de classificação Cultural. (pt)
