- Le tableau suivant contient la plupart des rôles créés par les plus importantes hautes-contre françaises aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles. Les rôles retenus y sont répertoriés car ils s'avèrent particulièrement significatifs, ou font partie de la distribution d'opéras écrits par des compositeurs majeurs travaillant en France durant cette période. Ce tableau a été élaboré en utilisant et en comparant les données contenues dans les textes et les ressources en ligne indiqués plus bas. Il ne vise pas à avoir un caractère exhaustif, mais à esquisser un panorama significatif, sur une longue période, du chant lyrique français. Il s'étend chronologiquement de à Joseph Legros. (fr)
