- Les Charlots (Šašci) je francouzská hudební skupina existující od roku 1966, která se později úspěšně prosadila i coby komická herecká skupina ve francouzském filmu. V roce 2001 se sešli po zhruba dvaceti letech od rozpadu skupiny v televizním pořadu, poté se začali opět vídat častěji a od roku 2005 příležitostně opět vystupují spolu a dokonce natočili i nové desky. V roce 2012 zemřel Gérard Rinaldi. 30.3. 2021 zemřel Gérard Filippelli. (cs)

- Les Charlots, known as The Crazy Boys in the English-speaking world, was a group of French musicians, singers, comedians and film actors, who were popular in the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. The group was active first from 1965 to 1966 as "Les Problèmes", under which name they made an album with the French singer Antoine. They renamed themselves Les Charlots and remained active from 1966 to 1997, then again briefly from 2008 to 2011 (as a duo). Charlots is slang for "clowns" or "idiots" rather than being a direct reference to Charlie Chaplin, who was generally called Charlot in France. Their light-hearted comedy style was influenced by the style of popular Italian group and by the anarchist humor of the Marx Brothers. The five members were Gérard Rinaldi (vocals / saxophone / accordion), (bass / backing vocals), Gérard Filippelli, a.k.a. "Phil" (guitar / backing vocals), Luis Rego (rhythm guitar / piano / backing vocals) and (drums / backing vocals). Filippelli was nicknamed "Phil" as there were two "Gérards" in the group. (en)

De groep brengt voornamelijk humoristische liedjes. In België en Nederland zijn ze vooral bekend als acteurs uit diverse Franse films. Niet lang na oprichting verliet Donald Rieubon de groep al omwille van zijn legerdienst. Hij werd toen vervangen door , de broer van hun manager. Luis Rego stopte officieel met Les Charlots nadat hun tweede film "" was uitgekomen. Desondanks keerde hij terug als acteur in enkele latere films waar Les Charlots ook te zien waren. Jean-Guy Fechner besloot enkele jaren later om te stoppen na een onenigheid met zijn broer en de andere bandleden. Toen het met "Les Charlots" halfweg de jaren 1980 sterk achteruit ging, besloot zanger Gérald Rinaldi om te stoppen. Hij werd vervangen door . Nadat de film in 1992 werd uitgebracht, stopten Richard Bonnot, Gérard Filipelli en Jean Sarrus.
