- George Andrew McCluskey (born 24 June 1959) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He is best known as the lead singer and bass guitarist of the electronic band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), which he founded alongside keyboard player Paul Humphreys in 1978. The duo have been described as "electro pioneers". McCluskey also founded pop girl group Atomic Kitten, for whom he served as a principal songwriter, and has collaborated with various acts. His work has received nominations at the Ivor Novello, Grammy and Brit Awards, and has topped charts in the UK and internationally. (en)

Nel 1978 ha fondato insieme a il gruppo Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Dopo aver suonato i vari gruppi con nomi bizzarri quali Hitlerz Underpantz, Dalek I Love You e The Id, i due amici di gioventù formano gli Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark e continuano a collaborare fino allo scioglimento del gruppo nel 1988. Il gruppo ha numerosi successi all'inizio degli anni ottanta con brani quali Enola Gay, Souvenir, e . McCluskey continua a scrivere e registrare sotto il nome del gruppo fino al 1996. Nel 2003 Humphreys sì aggrega di nuovo a McCluskey per una serie di concerti reunion e nel 2010 pubblicano l'album History of Modern di nuovo sotto il nome di Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Nel 1998 McCluskey forma il gruppo vocale femminile Atomic Kitten per il quale scrive canzoni e fa da produttore, fra le quali Whole Again che raggiunge il numero uno nelle classifiche inglesi nel 2001. Efter att ha gått skilda vägar i slutet av 1980-talet fortsatte McCluskey under några år att ge ut skivor under bandnamnet. Därefter övergick han till att bli manager och låtskrivare för gruppen Atomic Kitten som med låten Whole Again toppade den brittiska singellistan. 2005 återbildade han tillsammans med Paul Humphreys Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, som sedan dess turnerat och givit ut flera album.
