- Die vierte HMS Implacable (R86) der Royal Navy war ein Flugzeugträger der dritten Gruppe der . Die beiden Schiffe dieser Gruppe, die auch Implacable-Klasse genannt wurde, hatten einen Antrieb über vier Wellen und einen größeren Flugzeughangar. Das im Oktober 1938 bestellte Schiff kam im August 1944 als sechstes und letztes Schiff dieser Klasse in Dienst. Bei der Home Fleet wurde die Implacable von Oktober bis Dezember 1944 gegen den Schiffsverkehr der deutschen Besatzer vor der norwegischen Küste eingesetzt. 1945 wurde das Schiff in den Pazifik befohlen, wohin es über Ceylon und Australien verlegte. Im Juni wurde die Implacable gegen Truk eingesetzt und nahm im August an den Angriffen der alliierten Flotte gegen die japanischen Hauptinseln teil. Nach der japanischen Kapitulation wurde der Träger bis zum Jahresende als Transporter für befreite Kriegsgefangene und heimkehrende australische Truppen eingesetzt. Von 1946 bis 1950 befand sich das Schiff bei der Home Fleet und kam dann in die Reserve. Ein erwogener umfassender Umbau des Schiffes wurde nicht durchgeführt. Von 1952 bis 1954 diente die Implacable als Schulschiff. 1955 erfolgte der Abbruch des Schiffes. (de)
- HMS Implacable was the name ship of her class of two aircraft carriers built for the Royal Navy during World War II. Upon completion in 1944, she was initially assigned to the Home Fleet and attacked targets in Norway for the rest of the year. She was subsequently assigned to the British Pacific Fleet (BPF) where she attacked the Japanese naval base at Truk and targets in the Japanese Home Islands in 1945. The ship was used to repatriate liberated Allied prisoners of war (PoWs) and soldiers after the Japanese surrender, for the rest of the year. Implacable returned home in 1946 and became the Home Fleet's deck-landing training carrier, a role that lasted until 1950. She briefly served as flagship of the Home Fleet in 1950. During this time she participated in many exercises and made a number of port visits in Western Europe. She was placed in reserve in 1950 and converted into a training ship in 1952, and served as flagship of the Home Fleet Training Squadron. The ship was considered for a major modernisation in 1951–1952, but this was rejected as too expensive and time-consuming. Implacable was decommissioned in 1954 and sold for scrap the following year. - O HMS Implacable foi um porta-aviões operado pela Marinha Real Britânica e a primeira embarcação da Classe Implacable, seguido pelo HMS Indefatigable. Sua construção começou em fevereiro de 1939 nos estaleiros da Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company em Govan e foi lançado ao mar em dezembro de 1942, sendo comissionado na frota britânica em agosto de 1944. Ele era capaz de transportar até 81 aeronaves, era armado com uma bateria antiaérea composta por vários canhões de 113, 40 e 20 milímetros, tinha um deslocamento carregado de mais de 32 mil toneladas e conseguia alcançar uma velocidade máxima acima de 32 nós (sessenta quilômetros por hora). O Implacable entrou em serviço no fim da Segunda Guerra Mundial, primeiro servindo com a Frota Doméstica em ataques na Noruega em 1944 e depois com a Frota Britânica do Pacífico em ações contra o Japão em 1945.
