- Als Südtiroler Unterland (oft auch Bozner Unterland, italienisch Bassa Atesina) wird ein rund 25 km langer Abschnitt des Etschtals in Südtirol zwischen Bozen, Tramin und Salurn bezeichnet. Das von der Etsch in Nord-Süd-Richtung durchflossene Unterland ist der südlichste Teil Südtirols an der Grenze zum Trentino. Als Hauptort des Unterlandes gilt Neumarkt. The area is known for its history, particularly regarding Rhaetic, Roman, and Germanic archaeological sites; its bilingualism (German and Italian), and its viticulture; the Gewürztraminer grape originated here. The region should not be confused with the Tyrolean Unterland in the Austrian state of Tyrol. (en)
- La Bassa Atesina (Bozner Unterland o Südtiroler Unterland in tedesco) è un territorio dell'Alto Adige, compreso tra Bolzano a nord e la chiusa di Salorno a sud. La zona è particolarmente nota per la sua produzione di vino, ad esempio il Gewürztraminer, e la Strada del Vino dell'Alto Adige passa attraverso il suo territorio. La zona è attraversata dal fiume Adige, dall'autostrada del Brennero e dalla ferrovia del Brennero. Il paese capoluogo è Egna, nonostante il più grosso centro abitato sia Laives. I comuni della Bassa Atesina sono Aldino, Anterivo, Bronzolo, Cortaccia, Cortina, Egna, Laives, Magrè, Montagna, Ora, Salorno, Termeno, Trodena e Vadena.
