- She Loves Me és un musical amb un llibret de , lletraes de i música de Jerry Bock. El musical és la tercera adaptació de l'obra de 1937 del dramaturg hongarès , després de la pel·lícula de 1940 de James Stewart- The Shop Around the Corner i la versió musical de 1949 de Judy Garland- In the Good Old Summertime. Va tornar a aparèixer el 1998 com la pel·lícula de Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan You've Got Mail. La trama gira al voltant dels empleats de la botiga de Budapest Georg Nowack i Amalia Balash que, tot i estar constantment en desacord a la feina, no saben que cadascun és l'amic secret de l'altre que es coneixen a través d'anuncis de cors solitaris. El musical es va estrenar a Broadway el 1963 i va tenir 301 representacions. Posteriorment va tenir produccions al el 1964 i revivals premiats a cada costat de l'Atlàntic als anys noranta, així com produccions regionals. She Loves Me es va tornar a reviure a Broadway el 2016 i la producció es va convertir en el primer espectacle de Broadway que s'ha emès en directe. (ca)

Das Schauspiel diente bereits in den 1940er Jahren als Vorlage für den Ernst-Lubitsch-Film Rendezvous nach Ladenschluß, der wiederum die Grundlage für das Hollywood-Musical In the Good Old Summertime (Damals im Sommer, auch Mit Musik ins Glück) bildete.Harold Prince führte die Produktion und die Regie des Musicals, das am 23. April 1963 im Eugen O‘Neill Theatre Broadway-Premiere hatte. Die Laufzeit des Musicals enttäuschte mit 302 Vorstellungen, wohingegen der Score (Partitur) in den Charts erfolgreich war und dessen Aufnahme 1964 einen Grammy erhielt. Im selben Jahr wurde Jack Cassidy mit einem Tony Award für die beste männliche Nebenrolle ausgezeichnet. Die Erstaufführung im Londoner West End war am 29. April 1964 im Lyric Theatre. Die deutschsprachige Erstaufführung fand am 19. September 1996 unter dem Titel Sie liebt mich im Etablissement Ronacher in Wien statt, in einer Übersetzung von Frank Thannhäuser und Nico Rabenald. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg and Amalia, who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1963 and ran for 301 performances, was produced in the West End in 1964, and received award-winning revivals on each side of the Atlantic in the 1990s (as well as numerous regional productions). Although the original Broadway run was not a financial success, She Loves Me slowly became a cult classic, and the massively successful 2016 Broadway revival became the first Broadway show ever to be live-streamed.
