- Jemmape [ʒɛ.map] was a department of the First French Republic and of the First French Empire in present-day Belgium. It was named after the Battle of Jemappes, fought between the French and the Austrians in 1792 near the village of Jemappes, near Mons. Jemappes was spelled Jemmape, Jemmapes or Jemmappes at the time. Its territory corresponded more or less with that of the Belgian province of Hainaut. It was firstly created on 2 March 1793, and then recreated on 1 October 1795, when the Austrian Netherlands and the Prince-Bishopric of Liège were officially annexed by the French Republic. Before annexation, its territory lay in the County of Hainaut, Tournai and the Tournaisis, the County of Namur (Charleroi) and the Bishopric of Liège (Thuin). The Chef-lieu of the department was Mons. The department was subdivided into the following three arrondissements and cantons:
* Mons: Boussu, Chièvres, Dour, Enghien, Lens, Le Roeulx, Mons (2 cantons), Pâturages and Soignies.
* Charleroi: Beaumont, Binche, Charleroi (2 cantons), Chimay, Fontaine-l'Évêque, Gosselies, Merbes-le-Château, Seneffe and Thuin.
* Tournai: Antoing, Ath, Celles, Ellezelles, Frasnes, Lessines, Leuze, Péruwelz, Quevaucamps, Templeuve and Tournai (2 cantons). After Napoleon was defeated in 1814, the department was dissolved and later it became part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands as the province of Hainaut. (en)

Il fait partie des départements réunis. Son nom commémore la victoire française à la bataille de Jemappes. On l'écrit également Jemmape (sans « s » final). Le numéro du département était le 86. (fr)

- Jemmapes o Jemmape (ʒɛ.map) era il nome di un dipartimento della Prima Repubblica francese e poi del Primo Impero francese nell'attuale Belgio. Venne così chiamato in onore della vittoria francese contro gli austriaci nella battaglia di Jemappes (6 novembre 1792), combattuta durante la guerra della prima coalizione nei pressi di Jemappes, vicino a Mons. Jemappes a quel tempo veniva anche scritto Jemmape, Jemmapes o Jemmappes. Il territorio del dipartimento corrisponde grossomodo all'attuale provincia belga dell'Hainaut. (it)

- Департамент Жеммап (фр. Département de Jemmapes) — административная единица Первой французской империи, располагавшаяся на землях современной бельгийской провинции Эно. Департамент назван в честь деревни Жеммап (варианты написания — Жемап, Жемапп), возле которой французские войска одержали победу над австрийцами. В ноябре 1792 года генерал Дюмурье в сражении при Жемапе разгромил австрийские войска, что позволило французам занять Австрийские Нидерланды. 2 марта 1793 года было объявлено о включении провинции Эно в состав Франции, и 12 марта был образован департамент Жеммап, названный так в честь места французской победы. В него вошли территории графства Эно, , а также части графства Намюр и Льежского княжества-епископства. Однако 2 апреля 1793 года Эно была вновь занята австрийцами. После произошедшей 26 июня 1794 года битвы при Флерюсе наступил перелом, и французы вновь начали занимать Австрийские Нидерланды. 30 августа 1795 года департамент Жеммап был создан вновь.
