- La XI edición del Festival de Eurovisión de Jóvenes Bailarines se celebró en el Teatro Nacional de Varsovia (Polonia) el 24 de junio de 2005. En esta edición se cambió el formato de selección de países para la final, ya que la semifinal fue sustituida por una semana de clases magistrales de danza donde los bailarines tuvieron la gran oportunidad de trabajar individualmente o en grupos con algunos de los mejores maestros de danza de todo el mundo. Florence Clerc, Irek Mukhamedow, Christopher Bruce y Piotr Nardelli fueron los maestros de danza seleccionados para trabajar con los participantes y elegir a los 10 finalistas. 3 países de los 10 participantes fueron descalificados y no obtuvieron el pase a la final para poder competir en el certamen. Estos países fueron Chipre, Noruega y Eslovenia. Después de esta edición, las dos siguientes que debían ser en 2007 y 2009, fueron sustituidas por el Festival de Baile de Eurovisión que se celebró en 2007 y 2008. Tras el bajo interés en participar en este nuevo certamen, en 2011, volvió a celebrarse el Festival de Eurovisión de Jóvenes Bailarines. (es)
- The Eurovision Young Dancers 2005 was the eleventh edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers, held at the National Theatre in Warsaw, Poland on 24 June 2005. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP), dancers from ten countries participated in the televised final. A total of thirteen countries took part in the competition. For this contest, a week of dance master classes replaced the semi-final round in order to select the finalists. Armenia, Estonia, Switzerland and Ukraine withdrew from the contest. The non-qualified countries were Cyprus, Norway and Slovenia. of Netherlands won the contest, with host country Poland and Belgium placing second and third respectively. The next edition would eventually be held in 2011, following cancellations in 2007 and 2009. (en)

Es war das erste Mal, dass die Niederlande den Wettbewerb gewann. Auf Platz 2 landete das Gastgeberland Polen mit dem Tanzpaar Elena Karpuhina & Michał Wylot. Het format werd dit jaar gewijzigd: De landen werden een week gesteund, getraind, gecoacht door 4 professionele dansers; dit was in plaats van een halve finale. (nl)
