- ورق التصميمات الإنشائية (ورق السكر) هو عبارة عن ورق متين وخشن وملون. يتميز ملمسه بالخشونة نسبيًا والسطح غير مصقول. وبسبب المادة الأصلية المصنع منها الورق، وهي لب الخشب بشكل أساسي، يمكن رؤية جزيئات صغيرة على سطح الورق. ويتم استخدام هذا النوع من الورق لأغراض المشاريع أو بعض الحرف. يكمن أصل مصطلح ورق السكر في استخدامه لتصنيع أكياس السكر. وهو يرتبط ب ـ«الورق الأزرق» المستخدم من قِبل خبازي الحلويات منذ القرن السابع عشر حيث جرى استخدامه في إنجلترا في ذلك الوقت، كما تم، على سبيل المثال، في خبز كعك ريجنسي أو المعروف باسم راتافيا (أو المعكرون). وتم تصميم الرسوم المتحركة مفاتيح بلو (Blue's Clues) وساوث بارك (South Park) (في بادئ الأمر) باستخدام ورق التصميمات الإنشائية وتقنية وقف الحركة. Due to the source material, mainly wood pulp, small particles are visible on the paper's surface. It is used for projects or crafts. The etymology of "sugar paper" lies in its use for making bags to contain sugar. It is related to the "blue paper" used by confectionery bakers in England from the 17th century onwards; for example, in the baking of Regency ratafia cakes (or macaroons). The animated television series Blue's Clues and South Park were initially made using construction paper and stop motion. (en)
- La carta da zucchero è una carta colorata, che è ruvida su tutti e due i lati. Viene usata da artisti e animatori oltre che dai bambini per giocare. South Park e Blues Clues erano stati originalmente creati con la carta da zucchero. La carta da zucchero propriamente detta veniva utilizzata per confezionare lo zucchero venduto al dettaglio, per creare un effetto ottico di "sbiancamento" del prodotto scarsamente raffinato e quindi di colore giallastro. La luce riflessa dalla carta, con componente dominante azzurra, crea tale effetto; ancora oggi questo caratteristico colore azzurro viene denominato proprio carta da zucchero. (it)
