- Brit Awards 2012 was held on 21 February 2012. This was the 32nd edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual Brit Awards. The awards ceremony was held at The O2 Arena in London for the second time. The ceremony was presented by James Corden. Leading the nominations was Ed Sheeran with four, followed by Adele and Jessie J with three, whilst Bon Iver, Aloe Blacc, Coldplay and Florence and the Machine all had two. Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston received remembrance tributes due to their deaths in July 2011 and February 2012, respectively. Adele picked up two awards for Best British Album and British Female, whilst Sheeran also won two awards for Best British Male and British Breakthrough. Blur received the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. The statue was designed by Peter Blake. (en)

Il s'agit de la 32e cérémonie des Brit Awards, présentée par James Corden et diffusée en direct à la télévision sur la chaîne ITV. Un bref hommage est rendu aux chanteuses Amy Winehouse et Whitney Houston disparues respectivement en juillet 2011 et février 2012. Pour des raisons de timing, le présentateur James Corden est contraint d'interrompre le discours de remerciement de la chanteuse Adele qui a reçu le Brit Award du meilleur album britannique. Cette dernière, énervée, se retire en adressant un doigt d'honneur aux organisateurs de la cérémonie. Le prix de la révélation internationale est attribué pour la dernière fois. Après Vivienne Westwood l'année précédente, c'est Peter Blake qui s'est chargé du design de la statuette remise aux artistes. (fr)

- 32. gala rozdania BRIT Awards, nagród muzycznych wręczanych przez British Phonographic Industry (BPI), odbyła się w dniu 21 lutego 2012 roku w londyńskiej The O2 Arena. Transmitowana była ona za pośrednictwem brytyjskich stacji: telewizyjnej ITV1 i radiowej BBC Radio 1, a gospodarzem wieczoru był aktor James Corden. Podczas ceremonii wręczono nagrody w ośmiu brytyjskich i czterech międzynarodowych kategoriach. Nominacje, które ogłoszono 12 stycznia 2012, zdominowali Ed Sheeran (cztery), Adele i Jessie J (po trzy). W trakcie gali po dwie statuetki odebrali Sheeran i Adele, a po jednej: Coldplay, One Direction, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sandé i Ethan Johns. Specjalną nagrodę za wkład w muzykę otrzymał zespół Blur, który wykonał podczas ceremonii kilka swoich przebojów. Ponadto na scenie zaprezentowali się między innymi: Adele, Rihanna, Mars, Coldplay oraz Florence and the Machine. Specjalne hołdy złożono dla zmarłych kolejno w 2011 i 2012 piosenkarek Amy Winehouse i Whitney Houston. W rolę prezenterów wcielili się chociażby George Michael, Kylie Minogue oraz Brian May i Roger Taylor z zespołu Queen. Środkowy palec pokazany na scenie przez Adele stał się medialnym skandalem. (pl)
