- Batman Black and White refers to the comic book limited series published by DC Comics featuring 8-page black and white Batman stories. Volumes 1, 4 and 5 of the series feature all-new stories (published in 1996, 2013–14, and 2020–21, respectively), while Vol. 2 and 3 contain stories from the back-up feature of the Batman: Gotham Knights comic book. The series represents the first DC Comics work for future co-publisher Jim Lee, who drew the debut issue's cover, and the final DC work for Alex Toth, who drew the fourth issue's cover. (en)

- Batman: Black & White, tradotto anche come Batman Bianco&Nero, è una miniserie a fumetti in quattro albi ideata da e , pubblicata nel 1996, in cui venivano presentate cinque storie di otto pagine a numero, ognuna delle quali rigorosamente in bianco e nero. Gli autori chiamati a confrontarsi con Batman, proprio grazie alla particolare formula, puntavano l'attenzione su particolari aspetti del personaggio, esaminandone la mitologia, la leggenda, la psicologia. Ogni numero presentava poi tre copertine, una per l'albo e due interne, disegnate da altrettanti autori di grande importanza. Gli autori impegnati, compresi i copertinisti, sono tutti autori di grande spessore e fama nel panorama del fumetto mondiale o di quello indipendente. In pratica venne realizzata una serie con la stessa filosofia di Legends of the Dark Knight. In Italia venne presentata a partire da agosto dello stesso anno dall'editore Play Press. (it)
