  • Advocacy — термин из практики деятельности негосударственных организаций США, означающий кампанию, направленную на представительство и защиту прав и интересов определённой социальной группы. В русском языке этот термин пока не имеет устоявшегося эквивалента (может передаваться как адвокация, адвокаси, эдвокаси, адвокатирование, продвижение, лоббирование). Обычно для массовости адвокаси-кампании охватывают сразу несколько социальных групп, у которых имеются общие интересы. Объектом воздействия адвокаси-кампаний являются государственные учреждения (организации); целью воздействия — осуществление определённых структурных изменений (например, принятие законов) в отношении группы, интересы которой таким образом лоббируются. Следует отличать advocacy (или адвокатирование) от пропаганды, так как они различаются своими целями.
