- The 1957–58 Yugoslav First League season was the 12th season of the First Federal League (Serbo-Croatian: Prva savezna liga), the top level association football league of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. Fourteen teams contested the competition, with Dinamo Zagreb winning their third title and qualifying for the 1958–59 European Cup. At the end of season four teams were relegated instead of the usual two because the Football Association of Yugoslavia decided to reduce the league to 12 teams for the following season. (en)

En fin de saison, pour permettre le passage du championnat de 14 à 12 équipes, les quatre derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les deux meilleures équipes de deuxième division. C'est le club du Dinamo Zagreb qui remporte la compétition, en terminant en tête du classement final, avec quatre points d'avance sur le Partizan Belgrade et neuf sur un duo composé du FK Radnički Jugopetrol Belgrade et du double tenant du titre, l'Étoile rouge de Belgrade. La vittoria finale fu appannaggio della Dinamo Zagabria, al suo terzo titolo. Il torneo si è concluso in aprile per dare modo alla nazionale jugoslava di prepararsi per i mondiali in Svezia. Nella stagione successiva era prevista una riduzione delle squadre partecipanti: da 14 a 12, quindi le ultime due squadre classificate retrocessero direttamente, mentre l'11ª e la 12ª disputarono gli spareggi contro le vincitrici delle 4 zone della Druga Liga 1957-1958. Tytułu nie obroniła drużyna Crvena zvezda Belgrad. Nowym mistrzem Jugosławii został zespół Dinamo Zagrzeb. Tytuł króla strzelców zdobył Todor Veselinović, który w barwach klubu FK Vojvodina strzelił 19 goli. (pl)
