- Thomas Cooper Gotch (Kettering, 10 de desembre de 1854 - Cornualla, 1 de maig de 1931) o T.C. Gotch va ser un pintor i il·lustrador de llibres prerafaelita britànic, germà de John Alfred Gotch, l'arquitecte. Gotch va estudiar art a Londres i Anvers abans de casar-se i va estudiar a París amb la seva esposa, Caroline, una artista i col·laboradora. Retorna a Gran Bretanya i s'instal·len a lacolònia d'artistes de Newlyn a Cornualla. Primer va fer pintures d'enquadraments naturals, escenes pastorals, abans de fer una immersió en el romanticisme en la seva versió prerafaelita per la que és conegut. La seva filla, Phyllis Marian Gotch, era sovint una model per les representacions coloristes de noies joves. Gotch (1854–1931) was an English painter and book illustrator loosely associated with the Pre-Raphaelite movement; he was the brother of John Alfred Gotch, the architect. Gotch studied art in London and Antwerp before he married and studied in Paris with his wife, Caroline, a fellow artist. Returning to Britain, they settled into the Newlyn art colony in Cornwall. He first made paintings of natural, pastoral settings before immersing himself in the romantic, Pre-Raphaelite romantic style for which he is best known. His daughter was often a model for the colourful depictions of young girls. His works have been exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal College of Art and the Paris Salon. (en)

Urodził się w Kettering, w średnio zamożnej rodzinie. Uczęszczał do lokalnej szkoły artystycznej, następnie studiował w Antwerpii i Paryżu, by kontynuować edukację w Slade School of Fine Art w Londynie. Był uczniem Jean-Paul Laurensa i Alphonse Legrosa. W 1881 ożenił się z Caroline Yates, koleżanką ze studiów, którą poznał w Paryżu. Po podróżach do Włoch i Australii na stałe osiadł w osiedlu artystycznym w Newlyn w Kornwalii. Wystawiał w Royal Academy, w Monachium, Paryżu i Chicago od 1880. Założyciel Royal British Colonial Society of Artists w 1887 i jego prezes w latach 1913–1928. Malował sceny religijne i historyczne, pejzaże i portrety. Jego wcześniejsze prace były utrzymane w naturalistycznym stylu Newlyn School. Po wizycie we Włoszech w 1891 roku zwrócił w kierunku symbolizmu i alegorycznego traktowania tematów, jego obrazy stały się bardziej dekoracyjne, zaczęły przypominając dzieła prerafaelitów.
