The production also ran in the West End as well as having revivals and international productions. The musical was adapted for the screen in 1969 with Shirley MacLaine as Charity and John McMartin recreating his Broadway role as Oscar Lindquist. Willy Hofman, Piet Meerburg, Hans Sleeswijk & René Sleeswijk sr. brachten in seizoen 1968/1969 de eerste Nederlandse versie van Sweet Charity op de planken. Jasperina de Jong was te zien in de titelrol. De vertaling was van Seth Gaaikema. Tussen 1989 en 1991 bracht Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties Sweet Charity weer in de theaters, ditmaal met Simone Kleinsma in de titelrol. In het seizoen 2005/2006 was deze musical wederom te zien in Nederland, ditmaal geproduceerd door Mark Vijn. Ditmaal was het Lone van Roosendaal die in de huid van animeermeisje Charity kroop. In 1969 werd een film gemaakt van Sweet Charity. Ook voor de film verzorgde Bob Fosse de regie en de choreografie.
