- L'antiga catedral St. Patrick, (en anglès Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral o Old St. Patrick's), està situada al 260-264 de , entre Prince i Houston Street, a Manhattan a la ciutat de New York. Va ser la seu de l'Arxidiòcesi de Nova York, abans de l'obertura de l'actual Catedral St. Patrick el 1879. A l'Old St. Patrick's, com se l'anomena de manera comuna, s'hi va posar la primera pedra el 8 de juny de 1809. La seva concepció és obra de l'arquitecte Joseph-Francois Mangin, que havia realitzat també els plànols de l'Ajuntament de New York (New York City Hall). Construïda en sis anys, va ser consagrada el 14 de maig de 1815. Fa 36 metres de longitud per 24 d'ample, amb una alçada sota la volta de 26m. Malmesa per un incendi el 1866, va ser restaurada, tot i tot que la nova catedral ja era en construcció, i va reobrir el 1868. D'ençà 1879, ha estat degradada al rang de senzilla església parroquial, avui multi-ètnica, sobretot amb una forta presència asiàtica (l'església és a prop de Chinatown). Elle était autrefois le siège du diocèse puis archidiocèse de New York, avant l'inauguration de l'actuelle cathédrale Saint-Patrick en 1879. La Old St. Patrick’s a eu sa première pierre posée le 8 juin 1809 par le père jésuite alsacien Anthony Kohlmann (1771-1836) alors administrateur apostolique du diocèse de New York nouvellement créé. Sa conception est l'œuvre de l'architecte Joseph-François Mangin, qui avait également réalisé les plans de l'hôtel de ville de New York (le City Hall). Construite en six ans, elle a été consacrée le 14 mai 1815. Elle mesure 36 mètres de long pour 24 de large, avec une hauteur sous voûte de 26 mètres. Endommagée par un incendie en 1866, elle fut restaurée, alors même que la nouvelle cathédrale était déjà en construction, et rouvrit en 1868. Depuis 1879, elle est simple église paroissiale, aujourd'hui pluri-ethnique, avec notamment une forte présence asiatique (l'église est proche de Chinatown). En 1999, une messe y a été célébrée à la mémoire de John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., mort accidentellement en avion. Lorenzo da Ponte, le librettiste de Mozart, mort à New York en 1838 a été enterré dans le cimetière de l'église. (fr)

- The Basilica of Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral, sometimes shortened to St. Patrick's Old Cathedral or simply Old St. Patrick's, is a Catholic parish church, basilica, and the former cathedral of the Archdiocese of New York, located in the Nolita neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City. Built between 1809 and 1815 and designed by Joseph-François Mangin in the Gothic Revival style, it was the seat of the archdiocese until the current St. Patrick's Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan opened in 1879. Liturgies are celebrated in English, Spanish, and Chinese. The church is at 260–264 Mulberry Street between Prince and Houston streets, with the primary entrance on Mott Street. Old St. Patrick parish merged with Most Precious Blood parish, and the two churches share priests and administrative staff. The Old St. Patrick's church building was designated a New York City landmark in 1966, and the cathedral complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. It was declared a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 2010. (en)
