- Ikan layaran adalah dua jenis ikan di dalam genus Istiophorus yang tinggal di perairan hangat samudra-samudra dunia. Kebanyakan berwarna biru keabu-abuan dan memiliki sirip punggung tegak yang mirip dengan layar kapal. Ciri penting lainnya adalah moncong yang memanjang, menyerupai moncong ikan todak. Ikan ini adalah ikan tercepat, bisa berenang hingga kecepatan 110 kilometer per jam.
